stewards

one of the reasons i didnt renew my season ticket was over zealous stewarding,
i have seen on here tonight that a few people are still unhappy with them,
i know they have a job to.
do people on here think that they are spoiling there day at the match?

No because I sit down. I can't imagine any other reason to engage with them

They have a job to do but some of their actions just get on everyones tits. Like searching kids bags in case they contain weapon-grade soft drinks. FFS?

no ill tell you what it is this happens everytime we have a bad game at the CCS idiots who cant talk football seem to blame everything on stewards, Cardiff lost the stewards wont let me stand up boo hoo, as if standing up has some sort of magical power of persuasion to make Cardiff play better.

atmosphere was crap yesterday and we all blamed it on a male voice choir ffs not the fact that the canton stand didnt appear to open their mouths for the first half.

No, actually I blame it on this stewards who were shouting in people's faces for daring to stand to cheer on the team during a corner, threatening them with 5 game bans. The attitude of 2 stewards yesterday was atrocious & I've already started writing an email to Tom Gorringe about it.

The club seem to be happy to bleat about our wonderful atmosphere on one hand, then try and stifle on the other.

As for the rules, I'm well aware that it is against them to stand, but if everyone in front of me is going to stand, I'm not going to sit down and see nothing...

Stewards from yesterday tried to get people in the middle to sit first, which is ridiculous & point blank refused to listen to anyone saying to start from the bottom.

Oh and the brass band for Newcastle fans was f*cking woeful.

i agree the stewards are there to do a job jonny,but i have been there when they go up to youngsters
with a aggressive manner,my son was sat against the wall oputside the canton end one match
when i steward (a responce steward) clicked his fingers at him an told him to stand up.
then when up to my son nose to nose,for no reason what so ever.
but when i went over he changed his tune,when i told him to f**k off he started crying "you cant swear at me im a steward"
an tried to get me removed.
there are some very good stewards but they becoming fewer

complain then if you think a steward has over stepped the mark

ive never disregarded a steward complaint because generally you dont know 100% whos telling the truth, ill take both sides and draw conclusions

I cant comment on your situation however I dont normally communicate with kids directly I normally talk to their parents and they can do the telling the kid off bit(unless they are in immediate danger). If that has happened to you my advice would be to contact the club and complain the club will sort it out.
