Home fans treated like shit

Sat Oct 05, 2013 7:11 pm

Compared to the away fans. They get a welcoming pack. Friendly staff and a male voice choir singing to them to get them going. They are allowed to stand. Whilst us home fans get some jumped up hobnail boot wearing stewards piss poor service and a male voice choir singing Rugby songs at us. Ordered to sit down or face bans. Hmmm what happened to the match day experience for the home fans then ?

Home fans treated like shit

I was thinking exactly the same today. If the club are going to make all this effort to make the away fans' experience amazing, the LEAST they could do is show the same for their own fans!

So what will they do next home game which is swansea? They got no chance of making people sit down

For the gypos we will probably bring the choir back to sing more rugby songs, bring in fortune tellers, lucky Heather, and provide prime Rat Burgers and Meths to make them feel at home

oh yeah treated terribly, write to the European Court of Human Rights its disgusting, free live entertainment before the game let out for a smoke at half time, designated standing area in the ground, its disgusting really like a trip through hell :?

if you break the rules expect there to be consequences simple really welcome to life.

Because we've become the model happy clappy club that everyone should love to come too for profit and an experience. What us locals think or do or support doesn't matter as we are a minority in terms of the global marketing reach of the club. What the club wants is the papers creaming over them so fans in Asia see the stories online and want to come to the CCS and enjoy the day and see Kim and so on. We're more a tourist destination now full of prawn sandwich and caviar eating apologists than a true traditional football club.

Don't sit in an area where fans are known for standing then.

Your response to my post, if you don't sit down then being able to see the game isn't an issue for you

Exactly, you don't go in the Canton where standing is tolerated and complain because you want to sit down.

But equally so, why complain about having to sit an area that is designated as seating after being told and informed on so many occasions that standing will not be tolerated.

Because it helped create an excellent atmosphere for which Craig Bellamy credited the fans for beating Man City. But the reason for this thread is why our fans are being treated like shit compared to the away fans ?

Will it help the atmosphere if the SAG group restrict or limit out attendance levels like they have in the past.
Do people really think the club follow the guidelines because they want to, fair play you couldn't make it up.

There must be someone there saying I know, what can we do to upset our fans and cause problems, and f**k the ones who write in and complain and ask for their money back because they paid for a seat and had to spend the whole match standing because the club allowed people to break the rules.

Our club has done more to help those that want to stand than any other team in the Prem, they are the most active in pressurising the powers to be to follow and allow the Canton Stand initiative. The club have to look out for every fan's view point and still work within the guidleines, other people tend to only think about what they want, what suits them and f**k the rest, sad really.

No problem with fans standing when something happens or a goal is scored but fans who persistently stand for no reason in a seated area is not on, especially when they've been warned and warned. How many warnings can you give a person before you have to take action?

i sit in 115. Just to clarify my position, I've got nothing against people who stand, but they don't mix well with people who want to sit. The club tolerate standing in the Canton, it seems unfair to accuse them of treating people like shit. Standers are given options, but are happy to reduce the options of others by standing in their way

Nothing I hate more than agreeing with Nukes

But it was a PR disaster, I can't even contemplate what was going through the club's mind agreeing to it.

Why cant people just sing and clap sitting down like I do ????? You knew the rules when we moved stadia that if you prefer to constantly stand then Canton is only option.
We have been at the CCS long enough now to realise you cant get away with it anywhere else.
