Couldn't have got it more wrong today.
Firstly by standing in front of the away fans and singing one of their songs.
Secondly by following it up by singing a song which is so heavily linked with Welsh rugby.
Good thinking whoever decided on that setlist!

It was f*cking disgraceful.....the crowd were going mad around me....they seem to be trying to win this family club of the year shit again.
Sat Oct 05, 2013 7:20 pm
Felt pre match they killed the atmosphere as well
Sat Oct 05, 2013 7:38 pm
it was a big fail , just like when they put the Chinese dragon dance on at half time before

Agree it was like a memorial for someone who died. It could have been a cracking atmos before the game.
Please dont ever use them again.

Grow up?
Sat Oct 05, 2013 8:57 pm
It was tragic I couldn't be arsed to boo! But male voice choirs

we'll have max f*cking Boyce on for the next home game v scum
Sat Oct 05, 2013 9:02 pm
What were the club thinking? I was annoyed at how the club can be so naive, I thought we had become more professional.
Losing 0-2 at HT so we go get the away fans in a spirited mood by singing them a f*cking song?
It was madness, even if we were 5-0 up why sing to the away fans, madness.
Then to sing a bloody rugby song, don't they know mem of Harlech.
It was pathetic I didn't boo, I felt they would lambs to the slaughter but a PR nightmare.
Sat Oct 05, 2013 9:02 pm
I love that the club are welcoming to away fans, the welcoming pack is great and the under stand home comforts are a nice touch.
However, within site of the pitch from 2:45pm to 5pm I expect the place to be a bear pit that supports our team and undermines the away team and fans. I love that we boo their line up when it is named.
Therefore today the club got the use of the choir completely wrong. Newcastle were 2 up and we go and offer them their own personal motivational song. THAT pissed me off, but then singing Bread of Heaven tipped me over the edge.
They should have stood in the middle and sang Men of Harlech over and over again until the second half restarted.

Totally killed the pre match atmosphere. Not what we need.
Sat Oct 05, 2013 9:19 pm
Big mistake and made us look silly!

Whoever makes these decisions is clueless.
I was pissed off at first because the club made an effort to get a choir to sing for the away fans, then I didn't mind as much as I noticed they were going to sing for us as well, but then they start singing a rugby song ffs

at the Spurs match someone had spent a long time putting together the Men of Harlech Tune on tape followed by Hey Jude rising to a crescendo - ( words too I think in the new sign boards) and it was VERY impressive. - today we had none of that but the muffled ( very good ) choir singingn and building to no crescendo at all.
Half Time sing song was as embarrassing as others have said.

Definitely gave the Newcastle fans too much respect. How ridiculous at 2-0 down, riling up the away fans.

Totally agree. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the guys in the choir were saluting and waving to the Geordies as they walked back across field...
Home goal No.1: Going to the Geordies first (although I have no issue with the song they chose to sing)
Home goal No.2: Interacting with their fans and then expecting City fans to give them (the choir) a good reception
Home goal No. 3: Singing
THAT rugby associated song (could only have been trumped by the Swansea Town anthem and I think they were naive enough to have chosen it, too!)
Personally, I turned my back to their performance for the 'home' fans and hope that next time a choir comes to town they give a little more thought and consideration to their programme of events

This is cardiff city of today sorry mate, truth hurts but we are the laughing stock of english football! Our support is terrible as most people are happy to sit there in there red shirts and be humiliated, unfortunatly this is how we have become and it will only get worse and our fans are excepting it more amd more every game! There is only one man to blame for all this so why complain?

No we never want them to come to town at all, a load of shit, they can go to the blues if they want but never here, especially after that, and I hope we charged then for the tickets

Totally agree, just like the players have their pre match rituals/team talk, the fans want to hear MoH to get the atmosphere off straight away. But some clown decides to put a fecking choir on. Even at the start of the 2nd half they couldn't get MoH right. Some real idiots working behind the scene at the city and they need sacking.
