I did thought the single guy had a point who was a die hard city fan and wasn't happy there was either 2 Newcastle fans sat with him in home seats or neutrals who didn't give a shit about city , the stewards seemed well in control but I think they let it fester on far 2 long though it seemed a good debate I did sympathise with the die hard city fan and guys in their 40s provided some good ht entertainment

It kicked off in the q at the bar, he asked them if they were newcastle fans, they said they were but they couldnt get tickets for their end, and he went fookin nuts, screaming and shouting at them to fk off and get out, threatened them etc etc.
this went on for about a minute with no stewards anywhere to be seen until he grabbed the pair of them and dragged them over to the turnstile area to find a steward.
i later saw him get a bollocking from a 4'6" female steward..

I wonder if he would have been so threatening had the two guys not been a pair of small, inoffensive, geeky looking blokes

aye they were more lovers than fighters without a doubt

This type of thing is ridiculous and I have also seen a few inspector Morses this season casting doubts on fans who they think are supporting the other team because they didn't cheer when we won a corner or they weren't smiling.
Many many City fans have sat in home ends before including me when I lived in London. I kept my head down and clapped when the home team scored and shut up when we scored which admittedly wasn't often. If they are taking the piss by all means throw them out.

exactly, loads do it, does it really matter?
me and my son were offered complimentary tickets in hospitality last season for leeds away with a supplier of the company i worked for. i thought fab, free food and drink, keep our heads down, quiet day and a way to avoid the bubble.
when we arrived i quickly realised that the company was the main match sponsor! oops! spent the afternoon with terry yorath and the leeds legends who quickly realised we had welsh accents and were cardiff fans and talked to us about their memories of cardiff and/or players they knew personally, our chances of promotion etc etc. we had our photo's taken on the pitch for the next home game programme (which they sent me a copy of for free when i phoned up to buy one) and then over comes john mclelland taking about his days playing for cardiff and leeds. Ended up coming away with a massive framed signed leeds shirt as a gift because cardiff won and the table voted to give it to my son.
had a wonderful day because we were respectful, we didn't gloat about winning, we didn't jump up and down when we scored. We would have clapped leeds when they scored. if people behave like knobheads then fair enough, but if people manage to get hold of tickets and behave then so be it.

Exactly. Typical bully. The more he could see the 2 blokes shit themselves the more threatening he become.

One thing I dont like is a bully.
But saying that, why would away fans sit in the City end, you would think with our reputation they would think twice.
Would you do it at Millwall ?
And before we lost our bite, it could have been worse. I thought Newcastle did not sell out their end anyway

Was this the fella wearing a white Tacchini top? I could see something going on in that corner.

Our reputation as being family club of the year twice in the row?

True, but we still have a reputation that will take a long time to shake off. Away fans should be in the away end. If I went to millwall, west ham and got into trouble in the away end, then I have myself to blame
