TACTICS

Did not see match but people seem to be saying Malky got tactics wrong Was this tue and was he too negative considering we were the home side?

Re: TACTICS

First half totally wrong. If he carries on this way then people will turn against him.

Malky must have thought we were playing Barcelona the way we set out first half not a poor Newcastle side who have won 3 out of their last 23 away games. He got it wrong big time :?:

I blame the players. We set up same way 2nd half but played with more urgency. Mutch was fantastic

Any manager that's watching the opposition team playing on his team's 18 yard box and still insists his side still sit deep is just asking for criticism.

Really?

So what change was made in the 2nd half to the system we played 1st half?

Mutch was put on and he is more physical player which meant he could dominate in the midfield which alleviated pressure on others and allowed more possession in the middle to dictate the game. Still wasn't enough though as Gunnarsson should not have started as Medel doesn't need a babysitter and he should have started Mutch instead of Gunnarsson. Not hard to work out Craig.

Are you sure you are watching the correct sport? :? :? :?

So it was players then and not the system....thx for agreeing

The players are part of the system and tactics overall and yes it did change as you will be shown on goals on Sunday tomorrow morning when they do the in depth analysis. Odemwingie stayed more to his right wing and didnt have to cover for Kim and that was Malky's tactics fault for putting Kim in their to be dominated by Tiote, Cabaye and Sissoko.

But of course your love in for Malky wont let you see it.

Wrong tactics first half. Odemwingie was far too away from the box, was played as a winger and he was in the center of the park at times. Absolutely f*cking silly, some of the players need to get a kick up the back side over it too. We should have gone two up front or at least 4-3-3 with the pace of Noone on one wing. Sort it Malky :malky:

So you cant carry your argument so instead resort to things from the past? Okay, Jon Parkin.

Re: TACTICS

I have this horrible little feeling that Malky decisions are logarithmically generated by the lads viewing the laptops in the little room of the tunnel.

He is learning a lot about which players can fit into the predesignated system. But to me Peter O can't play the role Malky thought he could play, and Whitts out left is wasting Whitts talent of dictating the pace of the game.

Malkey and tactics? Turner oof ball and give it back to our opposition, that's malkey's tactics. Very very poor.

You can always try and find out if you want.

Onto the real point though, funny how today you are blaming Malky's poor system and tactics and dire brand of football and you are no longer blaming the players.

Barnett, dont try and get all tough.

Yes, i do blame Maljy now as at the time i believed that. Now as more and more games go by against weaker teams and we still play the same then questions need to be asked.

You made the initial statement Craig. Lets not pretend. Like I said, if you want to try and find out then you can always do so.

Fair enough.
