Did anyone rate him when he was here? I always thought he was alright, I preferred him over Gerrard at times. Only today I realised he plays in the Europa League at the moment for Maccabi Haifa

He had a much better attitude than Gerrard and seemed better, did question Malky's decision not to play him as much when I thought he was half decent

Yes. He made an immediate impact to the back four when they weren't communicating. Nodded them in too. A gent and a profrssional - really stood out in Dave Jones swansong season, lot of time for him when he was here. Out of the inherited DJ squad, DK would be a MM type player (attitude/work rate) but his wage deal probably played a part in his exit. I would have loved him to stay, as deffo excellent top-end Championship player and again, met him once and a very healthy attitude about him. A good guy but will be remember for the penalties he gave away that gave him the liability tag.

A top pro and all round nice guy. Had loads of time for the kids who went to watch training at the vale and whenever I was there he was always the last off the training pitch or was helping the younger players. His attitude even when frozen out by Malky was first class. Good luck to him - he deserved better treatment than he got.

I thought he was decent except that he always seemed to foul like Gyepes (I didn't rate Gyepes).

OK Centre half, but not as good as Turner, Hudson and now Caulker. I'd rate Connolly as a better player as well, especially as he can cover the full back spots - ideal if you are 4th in line for the centre half spot.

Dekel was faster than Turner and remember he was good with his head too. scored a few for us, and he scored 2 in one game not long ago for his new team.
