Need Help Fellow Bluebirds

Thu Oct 03, 2013 5:39 pm

I'm a City fan from Cornwall and looking to get tickets for the Swansea game. Usually go up with my old man and a mate, however don't think my old man will be able to make it, so looking at going by train. I have to change at Bristol, and get the train from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central.

Can someone please tell me how long it takes to walk from Cardiff Central to the CCS please?

Last time I walked it was for the Wales v Republic of Ireland friendly. I'm 55, not particularly fit, and it took me about half an hour. Left over the bridge, and down Tudor Street.

if you check out the train times on www.nationalrail.co.uk there is a train service from Cardiff Central that stops at Grangetown station - that is 7-8 mins walk tops from the ground, even for oldies :old:

Loads of trains go that way, when you leave Grangetown station turn left towards the traffic lights (and Penarth) and turn right into Sloper Road.

You will be approaching the ground from the away end/Family stand end.

You can get the Radyr train from platform 7 from Cardiff central, 6 and 36 mins past the hour. Get off 1st stop Ninian Park and you're 3 mins from CCS
