Away fans in the home "end"

Thu Oct 03, 2013 1:00 pm

When we played Spurs at home, i noticed a young lad (no older than 7 or 8 i reckon) in a Spurs shirt with his father, in the Canton stand.

Surely that can't be aloud!? Are there any rules regarding this!?

Got me thinking, when we play the Man Utds & Liverpools etc, i can imagine there'll be alot of interest from the welsh glory supporters that might not be able to get an away ticket!

its not easy to get a home ticket either mind. I cant see many liverpool and united fans getting tickets in the home end.

Yes, with the gold and silver memberships its harder than it used to be, but we all know that lads without fan numbers use their mates and what not.

There was a Spurs "fan" sat in front of me. The season ticket holder who gave up his seat to him needs to have a word with himself.

My mate comes with me every game who is from Birmingham and is a big aston villa fan. I have already informed him that for the villa game he is not allowed to come in canton or the stadium with me :old: :old: :old:

I don't think it's all that bad to be honest. Would you say the same if a mate gave up a ticket for a Doncaster or Burnley fan? A few fans in our hand is alright but I draw the line at plastic mancs and scousers in our end being nobs. Wembley was ridiculous against Liverpool and the fans that got a pasting cannot complain.

I don't see the problem, as long as he's not provoking the home fans like Robert Carlyle in cracker. I'd shake his hand, wish him good luck and enjoy the banter. Obviously there would be some knob head who'd want to punch him for supporting another team.
On the otherhand that's a seat that a city fan is missing out on so I can understand that point of view.

ye i don't have a problem with away fans being in the home end as long as they keep quiet and don't celebrate if they score. i will be in the home end at anfield when we play l'pool and if we score it will be up to me if i celebrate, but if i celebrate i won't complain if i get a smack in the chops. :D

was down at the Southampton game 2 seasons ago with a couple of mates, one of whom was a Saints man, the other City like me - we scored first (was it Cowie or Conway?) and my mate and me jumped up and cheered. We got some dog's abuse from some bright spark, but as we just laughed at him and didn't make too much of a fuss the rest of the game, it was pretty calm.

Got a bit back when they scored mind.

I don't mind away fans as I'm used to the rugby where everyone sits next to everyone else, but I do get a bit pissed off with all the pretend scousers, mancs etc who ask for tickets as if I got 'em stashed in my pocket somewhere - dickheads

Worst of all my father-in-law's stepson is a Spurs man, managed to get a share of a City ST this season and I bet he was cheering that goal last week - hope someone had a pop at him as he is a prize knobend,

Rant over :ayatollah:

Any away fans, in our section, should be thrown out, or escorted to their own section. At the Athletic Club Bilbao friendly, quite a few of their fans were taken to their section. No hassle or anything, just the sensible thing to do. Simple as that, really. Football fans are very passionate; best keep us apart during the game. I certainly would not want opposition fans around me celebrating a goal!
