Questions From Newcastle Fans

Wed Oct 02, 2013 8:11 pm

Hi i'm from toonforum.co.uk and we like to ask a set of ten questions our upcoming opponents each week to see the views on the match from the 'other side'. We would really appreciate if you could do this as we like to use the responses as part of our match day build up. You are welcome to come across if you want to have some 'banter' about the match. We are a friendly bunch!

1 – How do you think you’ll line up?
2 – How was Cardiff's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
3 – What is your style of play going to be like this season?
4 – Do you have any talent coming through your academy? Who are the 'ones to watch'?
5 – Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
6 – Which of our players do you consider to be our biggest threat?
7 – What is your prediction for Cardiff this season?
8 – How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
9 – Scoreline prediction?
10 – If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

Thanks for doing this!

1 – How do you think you’ll line up?
same team as the one against Fulham most probably

2 – How was Cardiff's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
very happy with the summer signings! Medel and Caulker have fit in very well and are probably our 2 best players so far! probably only thing we are missing is an out and out winger, as Bellamy doesn't look at his best and Odemwingie isn't a natural wide man!

3 – What is your style of play going to be like this season?
been very defensive against teams like Man City and Spurs, but against Hull and Fulham (the teams around us) we've played some good football and created a lot of chances!

4 – Do you have any talent coming through your academy? Who are the 'ones to watch'?
none currently in our 1st team, but Declan John looks a promising player, and in a year or two Kadeem Harris will be a good player (might even see him later this year if he continues the way he is)

5 – Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
El Pitbull, Gary Medel! can tackle, hold possession, and finds a pass 99% if the time

6 – Which of our players do you consider to be our biggest threat?
Cabaye is a great player, his goal on monday was brilliant! changed the game when he came on

7 – What is your prediction for Cardiff this season?
as long as its 17th or above i don't care, but being optimistic maybe 13-14th

8 – How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
probably mid table, can't see them being in a relegation struggle

9 – Scoreline prediction?
think we might nick it 2-1

10 – If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
is this a rebrand joke? we're blueberries dressed up like strawberries

1 – How do you think you’ll line up?
Same team as against Fulham

2 – How was Cardiff's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
Caulker was the only one I felt comfortable with. However Medal and Catherine have impressed me. Cornelius and Brayford I felt were gambles.

3 – What is your style of play going to be like this season?
Defensive
4 – Do you have any talent coming through your academy? Who are the 'ones to watch'?
Declan John, Tom O'Sullivan
5 – Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
Gary Medal
6 – Which of our players do you consider to be our biggest threat?
None at the moment
7 – What is your prediction for Cardiff this season?
Comfortable mid table
8 – How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
Relegation fight, good chance of going down.
9 – Scoreline prediction?
Cardiff 2 Newcastle 1
10 – If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
What?

1 – How do you think you’ll line up?
Same team as we had v Fulham.

2 – How was Cardiff's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
A slow summer but we soon started bringing the players in and worth the wait. Caulker, Medel, KTC and Odemwingie all highly impressing. Moore looks promising.

3 – What is your style of play going to be like this season?
Defensive and Organised. With Odemwingie we can expect some attacking maybe in some games.

4 – Do you have any talent coming through your academy? Who are the 'ones to watch'?
Declan John, highly impressive fullback who loves to get forward. Could be worth a few million if he continues to knock on the door. Harris looking better this season and Ralls is getting some game time at Yeovil which is great news.

5 – Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
Watch out for Medel as he will cut out you're attacks and hopefully start some off for us. KTC is a threat going forward with good crosses, biggest threat for me would be Odemwingie, clever with the ball at his feet, not scared to have a go.

6 – Which of our players do you consider to be our biggest threat?
Ben Arfa for me. On his day he is stand out performer and always attacking non stop.

7 – What is your prediction for Cardiff this season?
15th, I could possibly see 13 maybe but don't want to be to optimistic.

8 – How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
Unsure, depends on what you do in January in the window.

9 – Scoreline prediction?
2-0 City, I am judging on how we set up defensively and judging what I seen on Saturday then I can see us improving on the attack, hoping we shoot more around the box.

10 – If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
Blueberry.

1 – How do you think you’ll line up?

I think we'll line up the same as the game against Fulham.

2 – How was Cardiff's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?

I think it was a good summer for us, we made some great signings. I still wish that we signed Jefferson Montero though.

3 – What is your style of play going to be like this season?

Our style seems to be cautious and well organised and defensive.

4 – Do you have any talent coming through your academy? Who are the 'ones to watch'?

We have a young winger called Kadeem Harris which seems to be a prospect, but we signed him a year or two back from Wycombe so he didn't really come through our academy.

5 – Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?

Interesting, the players that have been great so far are Marshall, Taylor, Caulker, Medal. Whittingham has been dangerous with his set plays so maybe watch out for him? Campbell and Odemwingie seem dangerous too. ;)

6 – Which of our players do you consider to be our biggest threat?

Ben Arfa or Remy.

7 – What is your prediction for Cardiff this season?

As long as we finish out clear the bottom 3 i'll be happy.

8 – How do you think Newcastle will do this season?

Sorry to say, but I think you will struggle, not relegation but way down the table. seems to be no guts or fight in your team at the moment.

9 – Scoreline prediction?

2-0 to Cardiff.

10 – If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

f**k knows, i'll have to ring up Gordon Ramsey for that question.
