Working Offshore

Just wondering if any other posters work offshore? And how do you keep up with all the city news/games when you are away?

Where abouts are you? I am in the Gulf of Mexico, the internet speed on our vessel is awful so have to settle for on here. Or if I am lucky the game is on NBC. Catch match of the day every week whilst away. I have only made the Man City game myself, hoping to make the swans game but my rota has me down for work. going to try and get it off though :ayatollah:

I'm on Shetland job, not offshore but away for weeks at a time. I will try again for offshore next year. Everton was my first day home, kids wouldn't have been impressed if I went to the game. I'm nights so I watched man city on sky, going back Friday till Nov 8 so the Jacks will be tv aswell.

its a nightmare trying to order tickets whilst offshore aswell, cause the eticketing portal never lets you buy the ticket!! What are you hoping to do offshore? I am on nights myself but unfortunately due to the time difference all the games are during me working!

I'm on the Clyde in the North Sea watched the Man City game on a small 10 year old tv had to sneak to my room to watch it. Got a Season Ticket, I'm 2 & 2 so looking like I'm home for the JBs game. The wifi not very good for streaming I was constantly 5 mins behind on the game.

I got a season ticket so no trouble with tickets. I'm a pipefitter, done my bosiet then they asked for mist. I'll renew before it runs out in May. Got probably a year or more on this job. 3 and 1, 38 hrs pay for your 1 off, although I'm doing a longer stint this trip because I need to be home for a certain date.

I am on 4 and 4 so I was going to get a season ticket but looked at the fixtures on the rota I was on and missed most of the home games. Do you get sky in the north sea? What do you do then?
