Travel clubs away tics unfair

Wed Oct 02, 2013 7:08 am

Can someone explain to me how it's fair system that travel group supporters don't have to queue, phone up or go online for away tics and get one without hassle?

Yes lads from those groups go away most games cant fault that, but so do many others including exiles? Its Clearly not a fair system and a cop out making life easy for ticket office. Chelsea right mess with tics.

Away season tickets is only fair way I see. Maybe they should hold 50 tickets for exile fans? Truth is the buses shouldn't be arranged until after tics are bought not before.

Agree , they should keep to the same rules as everyone else , if the buses give fan numbers of supporters who qualify ie done 6 or more aways before they actually get the tickets then fair enough but giving them blocks of 100s to hand out as they wish is out of order .
Every fan on these buses should be checked before tickets are given to the people who run these buses that they qualify .
If they don't then they should run the gauntlet with the rest of us and hope to buy one before they sell out then book there place on the bus .
Not fair on fans who don't use these services

the travel clubs have to give the ticket office everyone that is travelling with them so the club nos if they have qualifed or not, they do not recieve the tickets until this has all been checked, they are just on reserve, so say if 50 people qualfied they will get the tickets, if the other 50 didnt quafiy then the club doesnt give the tickets out, simple as that

We all know lists are given to ticket office but never match who gets tickets.....done it myself as many fans I know.

 ok then .
So why is it before most home games there are certain people who run buses or help run buses that scramble around pubs offering people seats on there buses and saying don't worry about the tickets ?

Everyone knows that the tickets get used if they find people who want to go whether they qualify or not !
f*cking hell I saw at least 10 people go to west ham first game of the season on a coach who had never been to a away game in there life , how did that happen :?:

Has everyone of the 1500 going to Chelsea on these buses done 6 or more aways ?
I know 3 that haven't and they are going .

A friend of mine hasn't done 6 away games but I have. I cant make it to Chelsea so I'm allowing my mate to use my fan number

In this world its not what you know its who you know just deal with it :malky: :malky: :malky:

Which is exactly why everybody should have to apply in person with a picture I'd card to go to aways when ticket allowences are low .

Spot on.

Nobody else is able to reserve tickets before they go on sale, why should they be any different?

There are many fans who have no desire to travel up on a coach, or fans who are exiles... why should they have to wait for what's left over and have no chance to reserve seats until they can pay etc.

Ffswhen tickets are limited the club make the qualification so as to guarantee the right people get the tickets if a bus operator gets 50 or 100 tickets he has to have that many qualifiers ..nothing under hand there ..anyone traveling independant who matches the qualifying criteria is guaranteed a ticket ...regular travellers would no this ..those that dont travel will not .and should keep there nose out as there oppinion means nothing :ayatollah: usual shit stirers on here shit stiring again :ayatollah:

As someone who goes away without any travel club, i find it unfair that those who travel on these get to reserve tickets and get them before anyone else, without having to queue etc.

Just my opinion.

Isnt it strange that Carl hasnt commented on this thread when he usually has so much to say?

don't see the problem myself, without Vince and Carl etc. a lot of people wouldn't be able to get tickets! they've been doing it for years, so what's the problem now?

As I said yesterday, in my opinion it's a very strange set up.

Most (if not all?) other clubs put the tickets up for sale and then you arrange your travel afterwards either with the official supporters club, privately run coaches, train or car.

I've never heard of any other set up where umpteen different coach operators are given first dibs on tickets.

Out of interest, do these coach operators make a profit on the charge for coach travel or is it all done at cost?

i don't see the problem myself, but that's probably because i travel with the supporters club  it's basically just a simpler way for fans to get tickets without travelling down to the stadium! without Vince and that i'd have to travel 30 miles to get an away ticket, but all i have to do is text!

and i think the supporters club save up the profit for the end of season awards with the players (not sure tho) someone correct me if im wrong?

The problem is there's more demand for certain games this season than ever before, some of us exiles have always been able to get tickets if we've qualified, this year has been a struggle. I'm yet to buy a ticket on my card yet, had to rely on other people sorting me out.

so why aren't you able to buy a ticket? the travel group don't take up the whole allocation, and i would think the club would make plenty available for you to buy anyway?

i can see what people mean by that it seems unfair that the travel groups get tickets reserved and they can't get one, but why don't you book on to one of them coaches when you are they guaranteed one if you qualify?

The problem is that half of the tickets are gone before ive even got to the ticket office. You should have the same chance of getting to an away game if you are on a coach or in a car.
