LAUDRUP,S POOR HOME RECORD

Mon Sep 30, 2013 12:47 pm

Now without being sent this info, off the top of my head I would swear he done well, but when you see these stats, then it paints a different picture, quite suprising.

We have not beaten one of the top teams at home in the championship since Laudrup became our manager.Of ten matches played we have drawn four and lost six.
These have been our results
Chelsea 1-1
Man Utd 1-1. 1-4
Arsenal 0-2 2-3
Spurs 1-2
Man City 0-0
Liverpool 0-0 1-1
Everton 0-3
Are we just not good enough, or is our manager using the wrong tactics in these games? - See more at: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/s ... nager!/#32

Poor home record against the big sides is a big difference to poor home record overall... using only the top sides doesn't give a fair reflection.

I'd be more interested if ALL home games were included in these stats.

Agreed, if you start out with an agenda already you can usually paint the picture you want using stats

Swansea 2012/13

Results Tot H A
Wins % 29% 32% 26%
Draws % 34% 42% 26%
Losses % 37% 26% 47%

Swansea this season

Results Tot H A
Wins % 33% 0% 67%
Draws % 17% 33% 0%
Losses % 50% 67% 33%

I}n summary playing Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal in your home games is not a good sample to take for obvious reasons

Statistics can be read any way you like, and used to justify anything. But these still show it is a surprisingly poor record, compared to what the gypos claim. I am surprised it is that bad as well.
We have had just as difficult a start and (surprisingly) done very well. We have taken 3 games to get as many as they did in 10.

Away in the cup? 2 problems with that
1. Away is not the same word (or meaning) as at home.
2. They had weakened sides, as it was a Mickey Mouse Cup (your description).

Point one agree point 2 arsenal was in the league and chelsea was a semi final and far from a weakened side.
If I may add something else to this. We finished 9th, won a trophy and qualified for European football. If that means poor home form them by christ I'll have a drop of that.

Interesting so Malky has a better record after one game than Laudrup has over a season and a bit :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :malky:

Games v top 6 or 7 are not the ones that will see us staying up. It is fixtures v the likes of Hull, Fulham, Stoke, Norwich and Sunderland that are more important too win.

Points picked up v top teams are a bonus.

Is there a Cardiff City fan alive that has witnessed a season like we had last season?

Thought not.

Big boys. Lol

Really ?

Chelsea starting lineup vs Swansea City 2013:- Turnbull, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole, Luiz, Ramires, Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Torres

You have been listening to Jacks too much, three points is three points whether it is at Palace of Arsenal.

The only bit of relevance to that theory is the six pointers taking points from teams aound you, but still wins and draws are what needed, and if we beat every team in the top half and lost to every team in the bottom half we will still stay up :ayatollah:

Chelsea played a stronger side against Swindon last week in the 3rd round of the same cup.
How can any side be seen as strong with Turnbull in goal

He has got a bad record for home games do not know why, even this season he is currently 19th in the league on home results but 3rd on away results.

Last year they finished 13th at home and ninth away and still finished 9th overall

Yes I know, but unfortunately for them the stats do not take into account the strength of the opposition, just shows they have a bad home record to date, feel sure that this will be improved over the next few games though.
