EVERY THREE GAMES

Sun Sep 29, 2013 5:02 pm

First six games of the season have passed and we have accumulated eight points.

West Ham - 0 points
Man City - 3 points
Everton - 1 point

Hull - 1 point
Spurs - 0 points
Fulham - 3 points

I am very satisfied with taking 4 points from a set of 3 games, if that continued through the season then we would end up around the 50 point mark.

Next three games are

Newcastle H
Chelsea A
Norwich A

Can we get 4 points from those 3 games, absolutely we can :ayatollah:

I can see us giving Chelsea a real game. They'll struggle to break us down

Re: EVERY THREE GAMES

Jacks H
Villa A
United H

Arsenal H
Stoke A
Palace A

West Brom H
Liverpool A
Southampton H

Sunderland H
Arsenal A
West Ham H

Man City A
United A
Norwich H

Jacks A
Villa H
Hull H

Spurs A
Fulham H
Everton A

Liverpool H
West Brom A
Palace H

Southampton A
Stoke H
Sunderland A

Newcastle A
Chelsea H

So when we play Everton away we should be safe :D

When you break them down into 3 games it looks easier to achieve 4 points doesn't it?

Got to love the Premier League :ayatollah:

I don't know mate. I watched them second half yesterday and at times they cut through tottenham like paper. I hope mata is still out of favour when we play them.

Re: EVERY THREE GAMES

Was thinking this myself.

W2 D2 L2 from every 6 and we get 8 points from every 6 games.

Take 2 games out of it and you are left with 36 games.

36/6 = 6

8 points * 6 = 48 points

That also leaves us with a 2 game (6 point) buffer as well.

We need to keep this form up. My prediction.

Newcastle WIN
Chelsea LOSE
Norwich WIN
Swansea DRAW
Villa DRAW
United LOSE

Does the job. :old:

Not overanalysing anything at all. :laughing6: :ayatollah:

If Newcastle beat us Saturday you and Polo will be changing your mind again and telling us we're unlikely to survive.

I believe we will beat Swansea at home and draw with Chelsea away

Newcastle - depends which team turns up, they have the potential to be an amazing side, they haven't hit the ground running is all

Norwich away is a really tough ask.I think you need to target Newcastle, which im sure you will as a must win and 3 points.Chelsea away you may as well forget about and just hope for a decent performance.

agree with that. Norwich away is going to be tough, but a win on saturday is achievable and would really lift pressure of us going into two tough away games.

Newcastle is going to be tough and on their day they can be a real handful. Ben arfa is quality for one. We'll have to be at our best to win

Re: EVERY THREE GAMES

It looks much better when you break games into batches. Malky does this doesn't he into fives I think, Sam Allerdyce always talks of games in this way, when he is being interviewed on programmes like goals on Sunday

We had a tough start, and must be doing better than expected after the first six :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Malky will target a win against Swansea and Newcastle as at home, a draw at Norwich and park the BU's at Chelsea and see where that gets us...

Dave Jones used to batch in fives, other managers do as well when I hear them speak about such things.

Malky is more of a one game at a time man, which is probably the best way to look at it. :ayatollah:

Is there 4 points in there for us, I bloody hope so.

2 wins and draw would be magical though :ayatollah:

How was he right? I stated we needed to keep the form up which we didn't. I didn't say I believed we would do it at all. I just presented figures and numbers above on what was needed in line with what Carl himself posted. Please show above where I said we'll stay up. You seem to be of the belief that because I said we need this and that, that I am also stating we will stay up which is just an assumption on your part.

I never as ever since the Spurs game I have been of the belief we will go back down. The signs from the Newcastle game alone were daunting as was the invitations we kept handing out to Norwich to attack us.

I won't bring the Chelsea game up as I don't believe its a game we expected to get a win from and even I earlier on in this thread marked it down as a loss.

After today's defeat to Arsenal can we get 4 points on the road away to Stoke and Palace ?

Arsenal - 0 points
Stoke A
Palace A

Carl I think we need 6 personally 4 would be good but 6 would really sort us out I think we'll draw at stoke and win at palace which I defo see as must happen purely to keep the tally ticking over and IMO for malky to keep his job two losses he's gone two draws could also see him go as we won't be pulling away from the bottom
