Our competition - I'm Not worried at all

Sun Sep 29, 2013 2:11 pm

Looking at the quality of teams this year in the premier league in and around the bottom half , we look a hell of a lot better than at least 6 teams .

Stoke are to be blunt shite . They Pose no attacking threat apart from long high balls and bully boy tactics , try that with medel, caulker and turner . Problem with them is the physical style will win them a few points

Norwich look decent attacking and spreading the ball wide but have a suspect centre and weak defence not really impressed with them at all but can see why they could be tricky opponents

Palace look doomed they have nothing to offer apart from the odd shock at there place , they will be relegated first

Sunderland are all over the place , decent players but no idea how they want to play as a team , fletcher out for so long is a huge blow , arguing amongst themselves when they can understand each other  and no manager . Big trouble for them this year IMO

Fulham are a poor side with the odd match winner but can see them struggling all year .

Newcastle are another team that are struggling this year , the away form is poor , the fans are on the owners and managers backs again , star players like cisse and cabaye not happy at the club , they could easily get dragged into the relegation fight . We will see them closer next week but in all honesty I fully expect a win for the first time this year .

West brom look about the best of the bottom half this year but they also are no better than us.

The one team that has impressed me is Hull city . Fair play they spent well on solid premiership players like us and are reaping the rewards . They will survive in about 12/13th aswell

The last team I feel are in free fall and could majorly struggle all year but not as low as the relegation battle is man utd , wow they are looking poor . What a difference 4/5 months and a change of management can make to a team :o I can honestly see them struggling to make the top 4 this year. I fancy us at this moment in time to take points off them down here in a few weeks they won't like our style :ayatollah:

I can see us finishing 12th and pretty comfortable aswell . We beat Newcastle on Saturday and we will be over a quarter of the way to the point total we need after only 7 games, the more I think about it and watch the other teams , the more confident I get and now I am know here near as worried about playing these teams as I was before the season started :ayatollah:

My final table

11 swansea
12 cardiff
13 hull
14 west brom
15 Norwich
16 stoke
17 Newcastle
R18 Fulham
R19 sunderland
R20 crystal palace

I have to agree with your points of view, but I would also add the age factor for some of the teams who are struggling. Fulham for example, have an average age of 29 with 11 players of 30 or more, so will not be able to play at a high intensity for long periods. I predicted that we would get 46 points and finish between 8th and 12th and people laughed on Cardiff City Football Rumours at my prediction. I have also stated that I think Hull will finish mid-table as well, as both are squads were strong in the championship and then strengthened further. Every year the promoted clubs are favourites to go down, but 70% have not gone straight back down since the 2006/7 season, which when added to parachute payments has strengthened the championship and the quality of the teams that are then promoted.

I'd go with your table, maybe Fulham surviving and Norwich going down. A change of manager would be good for Fulham

Agree that Palace, Sunderland and Fulham are for the drop. PL is wide open this year and our promotion timing has been impeccable. I had a feeling that MM would adapt well.

On a completely different note, my wife is watching Antiques Roadshow and Fiona Bruce is wearing tight grey leggings and you can clearly see her camel-toe.
