Because they cant sell out, also that was there lowest Prem crowd for a long time yesterday. It seems that not many neutrals wanted to watch us.
Fulham even have to sell cheap ticket promotion in the Prem to their own fans,

That might be the case for most games for Fulham, but the demand from the Cardiff fans for this game was massive,we would have taken the whole end,and the tourists or Fulham fans could have gone into the home end, where there were loads of empty seats,so on this occasion it was a waste

Made me laugh yesterday seeing people coming out of the neutral section with Denver broncos hats and New England patriots hoodies!! Also the amount of Asians with huge cameras!

They could have sold loads more for the neutral section but they placed the tightest restrictions for any of their games in years on us. After a few days of going on sale to anyone who would pay the extra £20 for membership they got nervous about the amount of Cardiff going in there and restricted it to only fans with previous buying history there. It has even been easier to get Man U tickets in there. For the less well supported clubs they are playing in the next few weeks you can get 6 tickets each if you want, no restrictions.

Never heard of 'neutral' sections anywhere else. Took me a while yesterday to work out where it was. Right next to us! Was looking around, thought it might be in the old stand, to our right. Only when I noticed a couple of Latin ladies, with cameras, that I realised that it was to our right behind our goal.
Because of their modest fan base, Fulham probably have to accommodate for tourists to make up the numbers. They are well situated in west London, easy for tourists who fancy seeing a PL game.
Fulham are probably the only club who can get away with it. Doubt it would work at Millwall! Mind you,West Ham might need it in their new athletics stadium.

I think its a really good idea, opens the game up to passing trade and offers a view if you dont support either team, especially at premiership level where it can be difficult to get tickets.
It should be encouraged for all stadiums.

It was noticeable how many tourists in the neutral section were filming us doing the Ayatollah etc! Theyloved it. Cardiff fans for life now!

They used to have a neutral section on the north bank at Swansea. Or I think it was neutral because we were always in there

Home fans and away fans should always be split.

Agree totally. And 'neutrals',(people on holiday, etc.), should go in the home end. Keeps things clear, and avoids hassle.
