WBAC.Com are a waste of time anyway - like the Cash Generator for cars - the adverts you see on TV where they make it look like people approach them to sell their BMWs and Land Rovers etc - nobody with any real sense would sell their car through them, unless they really didn't give a shit how much money they got for it.
"I just sold my 5 year old Audi A3 to them, and I got literally a tenth of what it's actually worth. But hey ho, I sold it quickly, and bought a laptop from Aldi with the money!"

Exactly right, its a big con but if your that desperate to sell - well hey !!!
Had already bought a replacement car on a private deal too good to miss out on but I thought my 04 vauxhall would sell privately with no probs for around £2,800 - £3000.
But would not sell no matter what I tried, and i tried most things, even left it in the town centre with a massive for sale board on - NOP no one even called - tried auto trader, private local paper.
For 3 months it was just sitting outside costing me tax, insurance, depreciation and running out of MOT.
Although I knew WBAC was a total rip off, at least I did get shot of it so it was not costing me any more money for just sitting there!!
Got £1,400 in the end after hard bargaining with them at the inspection. which I was ok with (some you win some you loose)
Anyone thinking of selling to them just be prepared for a lot less than you want and they will try all sorts of underhand tricks to try to get the price down (like phoning the head office to try and get you a better price but all the time lulling you into a mindset of its the best im going to get for it)
My advice, for what its worth, is try to sell elsewhere but if you are desperate, get a fixed lowest price in your head (it will have to be a lot less than what you are thinking of) , don't say it to them, play it cool, and if it goes under your minimum, just say no thanks and go to walk out of the office (portacabin ! caravan!). At that point, if he does not call you back and agree, carry on walking away (but the likelyhood that he will come back to his bottom line price is very likely as they try to push you that little bit more) - more commission for the buyer I suppose?
If all that fails tell him your going down to scrap it - it may work?
Basically "we buy any car" is the last chance saloon of selling a car.
