Craven Cottage

Sat Sep 28, 2013 8:57 pm

It was my first visit to Craven Cottage and I must say even though its an old, small ground, I was really impressed with the whole experience. It's easy to get to, No bother with the Fulham fans and under the away stand they dealt with us fans efficiently and No hassle with queuing etc at the food/drink outlets as there were plenty of them.. Cardiff City Stadium take note of that..
The stand was literally shaking at the end of the game as We celebrated Mutch's delightful late winner!!!
The stewards were a pain in the Arse though trying shepherd our fans to their correct seat, We'll sit where want, we're Cardiff City, we'll sit where we want!!
Other than that, We'll done Fulham Football Club.

Agree with you but I don't think it is a good idea to have opposing fans together.

Maybe not for most games but I think it was Ok today, don't think the same will happen at Stamford Bridge, lol.

It was really weird when I walked in and the steward said "hello, welcome to craven cottage, is there anything I can help you with?" It was all a bit polite and posh. Bet they s**t themselves when we started singing!

It's a nice old ground, with friendly locals, and bewildered tourists. The actual cottage is very quaint! The only downer was the very poor catering. Not the staff, or the service, but the tea was very strange, and the burger bland and lukewarm. Would be no fun in the colder, winter months.

As the season progresses it will be interesting to read your opinions of stewarding at the various grounds you visit. The worst stewarding has to be at White Hart Lane where every away fan has to sit down - no exceptions. Yet behind the goals, the Spurs fans are standing with no hassle from the stewards. One rule for us......
