Will it be enough to avoid relegation this year?
Im not so sure been some freaky results this year. With the big guns dropping loads of points to teams you woukd think will be bottom half this could be one if the closest leagues in years.
Hull already on 10 points and we are hoping for them to be down there.
8 points out of 6 games though so if we can keep that ratio of points up we will be ok.

If Fulham, Sunderland or Palace make 35 points I will be surprised

Add West Ham, Newcastle and Norwich to that.

Imo 40 points will be more than enough.

Hmmm. Newcastle have a better points per game ratio than us at the moment.
West Ham will be ok once they get their injured players back.
Palace are goners then we got to hope Sundeland, Fulham and Norwich continue to struggle.

Let's just concentrate on 3 points against Newcastle next week and then we'll be well on our way...
You're right though... West Ham are rubbish - I will expect at least a draw at home.

If they are rubbish then why would you only expect a draw?

West Ham are so bad they tonked us first game of the season and beat us in the cup. West Ham will be fine, expect them to sign a good striker in January.
Palace and Fulham are the two teams that will really struggle this year judging by the opening set of results however I don't think a Martin Jol side will be relegated. We've won today, lets try and get a little run together.

Although the big guns are dropping points and I can see it being a much wider race at the top I don't think the case will be the same at the bottom of the table. Crystal Palace are on a one way trip back down, depending on who Sunderland bring in maybe they can turn it round but I highly doubt it. I guess the battle for that last place could be closer but I think we could possibly see three cut a drift at the bottom quite soon and I highly doubt we will be one of them.

West Ham will be in no danger of relegation. Comfortably mid table club. They'll do well when they clear up some injuries.
Palace, Sunderland, Fulham, Newcastle and Norwich are the ones in danger. So nice not to have to include us in that list

I agree that 40 is the target

I think Sunderland, Palace and Fulham will all get relegated. Think the current bottom 3 will be the ones relegated. Hull have been impressive think both us and Hull will finish in similar positions

Norwich beating Stoke away further compounding my point I feel.

Polo, loads of surprises so far in prem league so far. 37-40 points I think will be enough to stay up. I reckon this season could be a right mess
