I never heard about stats til about 10 years ago now everyone is obsessed with them!

Rayo Vallecano had a higher possession rate than barca in their game last week, but guess which team won 4-0!

The score is irrelevant Tony. Everyone knows that the only thing that matters in football is nice tika taka football. ;) :laughing6:

One of Roathies replies to Carl last night was the best I've ever read

"Carl, where on earth did you get 92%. I make it 91%"

I mean seriously. HAHAHAHA

But surely it's a moral victory if the Fulham midfield had a higher pass completion

100% agree, plus Ruiz is more of a tika taka flair name than Caulker or Mutch so they deserve the 3 points for that alone.

Not like you to embelish tone? :D

It was the other way around, he claimed medel had a 91% pass accuracy yet the site i looked on said 92%. Wasnt correcting the stats as much as wondering what the site he was using. Read it again

You have won a game, enjoy it instead of picking irrelevant arguments against statistics that are a massive part of the game and used by managers, coaches and match analysts world wide.

It shows they had more of the ball but created less with the notion in mind that if they have the ball, barca cant score. It seems they didnt have enough of it.

Stats are very important in analysis in all walks of life not just football, the key is being able to interpret them and not only that but selecting the correct stats.

Thanks for clearing that up

Gary Medel was immense today, we took the three points home and are holding our own comfortably in the premier league. We're still waiting for this battering NJ73 and his minions predicted would happen regularly :D

Re: The stats from Craven Cottage have been compiled

You certainly did deserve it. You have to keep that level of performance up, thats the key,

Medel was good, nothing spectacular but kept the game ticking over and was consistent through out, did his job with no errors. very similar game to that of what Canas is having today for us.

It's killing you to give us credit Aint it. Be honest, every compliment is accompanied with an if or comparison to a Swansea player who is 'better' than what we have.

What do they say about lies and stastistics? Mmm always been used to suite individual agendas, either gov't or individuals! In football results that count? No point having 99% possesion if lose game! So what use are they to losing team? Other than to say we didn't deserve to lose!

Roathie, you are losing credibility here because of your stance. If I was you I'd log off tonight, cheer yourself up by taking your missus out for a meal, and then come back on here when the buzz has calmed down a bit.

What stance? If credibility was important to me id try and fit in instead of giving honest opinions.

I think ive been perfectly fair. I said you deserved to win, i said medel played well - wasnt spectacular but did everything simply and well. But you need to keep this up, you have barely registered a shot in your other games.

I think thats the most sensible opinion of the night.

And its 3.22am here and it looks like we are going to lose, i wont be staying up tonight i can assure you

Canas looking poor today. Out of his depth against the likes of Ramsey.

Just think, Villa turned this lot over at Highbury, yet the poor jacks are looking like headless chickens.

So you're not Agent Dimi who used to be on the other board then? If you are then you live in the Gower. One of my mates in Swansea Met knows fully well who Agent Dimi is.

A picture of a place in Australia with a note saying 'This is Roathie, Swansea City supporter'.

Preferably with a kangaroo in the background if you can. No photoshopping though.
