Cornelius & Velikonja- What could have been

Thu Sep 26, 2013 11:43 pm

Copenhagen are currently sitting in the most prized position in club football, the Champions League group stages. Alongside them in Group B are European giants Real Madrid, Galatasaray & Juventus. Respectively Maribor are in just as good a position in the Europa League group stages with Wigan and Rubin Kazan.

With Cornelius out injured must be extremely difficult for him to see a new striker come in and make an instant impact at the club. As for Velikonja, he hasn't even had a look in since coming to Wales.

Both of these were top players at their previous teams. Do you think either of them are still fully committed to Cardiff City or are kicking themselves a bit about coming here?

Very harsh to question Cornelius' commitment but a part of him must be gutted that he's not starting at the Bernabeu on wednesday...

How old is Corneilius 20,19??

If he fulfills his true potential and at six foot four and a proven striker, then he will be worth mega millions, deffo one for the long term, just like so many others Malky has brought in.

This is no longer a club surviving day to day and looking for short term success or even survival, it is a club with a long term plan in place and we should sit back and enjoy the ride, we have waited long enough for it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But they are now part of the premier league week in week out, i know not playing but still part of the setup. For example Copenhagen just played Odense BK, we played a slightly more well know side!

When Dave Jones left we had a load of loan players and a bunch of old players on short contracts.Malky has see that we now have good young players on decent contracts. if we have to sell them we will get decent money.

I wouldnt think Cornelius has any regrets.

Obviously Etien does, silly not sending him out on loan really
