Cardiff at Craven Cottage

Thu Sep 26, 2013 7:31 pm

We've got a pretty decent recent history at Fulham. All lower league fixtures obviously but I've seen us win 5-2 there in 1989, 3-1 in 1993 and 4-1 in 97/98(which was live on Sky on a Friday night)

I've also seen a few defeats there mind, but we've definitely enjoyed our visits to Craven Cottage over the last few decades

Anthony
Yes, Ive always enjoyed my visits there, looking forward to Saturdays visit.

I honestly believe we can win. Personally I think we must come away with at least a draw, then beat Newcastle at home

That Friday night game was a good one, remember getting stopped by the police on that bridge in Putney? All sorts being dropped into the Thames :D

I think we're more than capable of getting a result there. Fulham are an established top flight side but are in that group below the top six where everyone could beat each other. Some people are criticising our cautious approach to the opening games, to which I can't understand and vehemently disagree with, but that's their problem not mine

It's a happy hunting ground and I can see a 2-0 win (Kim, Osaze)

That was a mad night. We had some mob over Putney Bridge didn't we?! Remember one of our coppers stop us and introduce me to a cockney copper. "This is Mr Rivers and he's looking after these here"

Like I was a rep for Ferris Coaches taking a load of pensioners to Calais!

One of my favourite grounds to visit , nice area & easy to get there . Done it twice in 93 & 96 ? when we lost 2-1 when Peter Beardsley scored

I think we can get something out of the game on Saturday Lakey.

Regarding the cautious approach, that is Malky Mackay's style, pure and simple.

I can't see him changing his teams style much too soon though I would like to see him inject more pace in to the side and hopefully that will be on Saturday with the use of Odemwingie.

We can't bemoan the fact that we ain't getting many shots on target if we are not supplying the chances and opportunities.

I was on Putney bridge too that night.

Coppers pull up in vans and started steaming in with truncheons
It was like Amy Winehouse getting a cremation in the Ganges
The throwing of uppers, downers inners and outers into the Thames!

Always remember Dilly (RIP) Merthyr/Bargoed boy -in the away end
With his addidas 'fence creepers' on.
Singing
Jimmy Hill's a Wanker
He's got a massive Chin
And he. Told the Coppers
Not to let us in

To the tune of my old nan's a dustman

Anyone else on the train for this one?

I'm with you mate. It's only been five games and we shouldn't even have the right to be accustomed to the top flight yet, but we are already and yes we need to gamble a bit more, show better cutting edge but that will come in time. Odemwingie is going to be massive for us. Some people are so naturally pessimistic i feel sorry for them. Look at Reading last year, I bet them poor fuckers couldn't see where a win would come for months at a time. Are we like that?

No chance. We've got a very good run of games now where we'll pick up vital points.

It's unbelievable when we don't win, some of these morans are claiming we should be taking the game to long term established teams who have spent £100 million in the last window, they think if you bring an extra striker on you will automatically score an extra couple of goals and win, why doesn't Malky think of that and play 4 up front and two at the back

It just dawned on me the first time I went there was the 88/89 season. The year before the 5-2. There was around 400 there and Geraint Psycho got thrown out for chopsing at some cockneys on the side bit!
