Have a good time, great league and great fans. Will be an experience.
You may meet jackson 5 as well, the German women tend to be a bit hairy by all accounts.

Used to watch Hannover 96 play regularly when I was based in Hannover in the army, after I had broken my leg playing for my own German club!
Love the whole German football experience and I expect you to have a great time!
I can recommend the Jäger-Schnitzels, but don't forget the time difference in Germany!

Just a little story here about the difference for us now ,I was back in the hotel on the saturday night in the bar I'm having a few beers and there were some Leverkusen fans and a Munich fan who start talking to me,hear my voice and ask why we had been to the game just for the weekend ,long way to come for a game etc etc ,they ask where I'm from from I'm saying Wales and the guy doesn't understand I then say Cardiff his mate next to him says "ah Cardiff City Premier League "...pretty much sums it up right there .

did you hear what Bayer Leverkusen are doing now:
Their colours are red and black, but their supporters were divided if they'd prefer a red or a black homeshirt. The traditional colour is red (with black shorts) but somehow black sells better and is more fav. with their younger fans.
So they came up with this:
this year's black home shirt becomes the away shirt for next season, with the club introducing a new red home shirt for 14/15. This red kit will become the new away strip for 15/16, whilst they will have a black home shirt for that season...
They'll also have an alternative 3rd kit (this term all white) in case of a colour clash away from home (eg when they play red/black striped Frankfurt)
That way both sides are happy, and imo this would be a real alternative for us as well.
on a different note: Köln is a brilliant place, love the "Koelsch" beer they brew in Cologne. A special kinda beer they do only in Köln and its surrounding area...
Enjoy it, mate...

Love Koelsch - great beer... Seems like a good idea they have there regarding the kits - everybody's happy with that compromise.
Thu Oct 03, 2013 11:18 am
I did wonder about the kit when I was out there as I always thought they were red at home but its a good idea, they also give free bus rides on a game day before and after the game as long as you have a match ticket .
