Everton FC have unveiled three crest designs for supporters to vote on after their new crest was criticised.

It was announced last week that the club's motto would return to the design after its removal for this season led to outrage from thousands of fans.

The motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, which means "nothing but the best is good enough", dates back 75 years but disappeared as part of a redesign.

The redesign provoked a furious reaction from fans

Fans can vote on which design they prefer on the club's website.

The club apologised in May after 22,000 fans signed an online petition condemning the "awful" 2013-2014 badge.

The winning design will be used for the 2014-2015 season.

An Everton spokesman said following consultation with supporters, it was clear the majority of the fans wanted "the tower and Nil Satis Nisi Optimum" on the crest.

Very depressing to read this.
I'm thrilled for the Evertonians for putting up a fight against their badge.
It just shows that if all fans get together and fight for what is right then a u-turn from the boardroom is very possible.

Unfortunately, it seems as though we are miles and miles away from following suit, judging by the amount of red down the stadium on Sunday

Hopefully Tom Gorringe can put our views across to the boardroom and hopefully ONE DAY, Cardiff City can return to their rightful colour. :brave:

Pity all clubs dont listen to their loyal fans like Everton FC have, some clubs think its fine to do as they want to the history and identity of their football club, just ask Hull City fans amongst others, what they think ?

The thing is Everton don't have a close minded dictator as their owner
