Defending , than we do on attacking. Yes we all know we must try to keep clean sheets, But I notice even the pit bull passes back more than he do going forward. Yet when Odem come on we were going forward more. Did anyone think this too ?

Yep , and I believe we played really well ,no in fact we played brilliant ,But I believe also we should try to push forward more.
We were pinned back for far too long , weren't winning much 2nd ball, and You could hear Marshall shouting at them to move out. You could just see ,that goal was going to come at some time or another.
Yes our defense was brilliant as we stood up to one of the best teams in the prem,and a team I hate and have done for over 40 years.

im surprised at your reaction to this considering how clued up most of your football realted posts are.
i dont think there was anything wrong with the set up last night. it was a rarity, but we did occasionally get into some good positions and had, lets be fair, 2 amazing chances to score.... not just chances, but ones that you EXPECT to find the net.
It wasnt a game i was expecting a lot of chances in, i think we approched the game in the right way.

What are you talking about? I have given Spurs full credit, best side weve played all season and they fully deserved all the points.
If it was a boxing match we would have been stopped at HT.
HOWEVER, we have to show more ambition than just hoofing it up the pitch aimlessly and lets start the attack v defence all over again. The only surprise was it took them so long to score because we were just inviting pressure on ourselves.
We did the same against Everton and got away with it but more often than not you will not get away with that tactic.
Ironically our best spell of the match, the 10 minutes after Odemwingie come on we actually had a go and were almost rewarded. Gunnarson should have done better, by at least getting it on target but it was by no means the sitter you are making out.

i disagree, a player of quality, which i think gunnersson is, who also chips in with his fair share of goals, should have scored that. if its on target it goes in barring a worldy from the keeper.
i think the time to question the players ambition, and the managers tactics will be in games against the lesser sides. Fulham, Newcastle and Norwich all coming up.

I think we are more organised, Blackpool went down by always going out for wins. There comes a point where you need to try and steal points.
MM also needs to work on timing his subs, can prove to be vital in some games.
