Think the chant was 'bus stop in Arsenal'. Get the drift, but Arsenal is not a place!

was pretty embarrasing to say the least

Yes mate, wouldn't let me edit it when Karl with a K responded. A new low for the 'not very clever crew' in the Canton.

It's all about generating noise doesnt matter what it is its atmosphere.

Sorry, we'll just stand in silence in future
Mon Sep 23, 2013 12:26 pm
Heard one guy shout "it's meant to be Barnet!!"

The bus stop song or small town songs are rubbish and are an embarrassment. By singing these songs we are spitting into the face of Lady Ninian park and her fantastic atmosphere, new breed fans will be new breed fans though I guess.

sorry disagree.any song which generates atmosphere is good in my book as to Ninian there were some lame songs sung there. Selective memory I think

I find people like you more embarrassing to be honest, stop moaning at least they are making a bit of noise

Geography grades are plummeting across the nation. The Old Guard will be disgusted when they hear of this.

Take off the rose tinted specs. Ninian wasn't always atmospheric.
The bus stop/small town songs are a traditional part of football banter.

I don't see the problem at all. Who cares about it being factually correct!?
I sang along and then me and my mate sat and laughed about it! As some say, at least we were making noise! Its just football banter
This comes from the same poster who has a moan about a different chant each week.
I don't agree with hooliganism, coins being thrown, racist chants ect. But what I do believe in, is that we have always been the 12th man, and have intimidated opponents for years. We hit the PL, win "family club of the year" (with an insane amount of banning orders!) and all of a sudden we should be clapping the other teams and cheering them on.
How things have changed

I cringe and am so embarrassed with the jack homage song "hymns and arias"
Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:46 pm
i was at the game. but didnt here the spurs fans singing, your just a shit swansea city? to which the reply was. your just a bus stop in arsenal.?
Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:50 pm
If you're embarrassed by the chants then go find another sport.

If no one sang because someone did not like it, there would be no atmosphere at all
Tue Sep 24, 2013 11:48 am
I was cringing, just as embarrassing as singing "bus stop in Villa" to Birmingham fans

No they aren't, those songs weren't around 15 year back trust me. We used to be far more venemous and witty about our opponents. Ninian wasn't always atmospheric you're right but it was never souless ala CCS.

Jesus Christ, it's just a throwaway bit of banter not a geography lesson. Everyone knows Arsenal isn't a place, it just a chant.

You must be new here otherwise you'd think differently about that.
