if you want the traditional blue then drop the yellow

for me City's tradition strip in blue and white alone, with no yellow at all. Yellow was only added from the late seventies and then was dropped again in the eighties. So forgive to suggest that the yellow element has never been traditional in the home strip.

i think this yellow addition harps back to a perceived glory of the late seventies by aged 40 plus fans.

to really go for a return to the traditional colours for me it has to be just blue and white only. take it right back to the simplicity of the 20s to the early seventies.

away strips have been yellow true but they've also been red.

drop the yellow I say. I have. blue and white only for me. I don't like the red but I don't like the yellow.

When the yellow stripe first appeared in the 75/76 season, a lot of people did not like it. Can't say I was too bothered myself, but grew to like it, especially as that was a brilliant, promotion season. By now it is iconic.

The blue is ok. We have had different shades over the years. Remember the last season at Ninian Park? Not fussed on the red stripe, though. But it's important, vital even, that we keep blue in our range of kits.
