Something encouraging I've never seen before

Just went for a walk around the area for some fresh air and walked past the local football pitch to see two groups of young teams being coached. To my surprise, instead of passing who I imagined to be two groups of young boys, when I got closer I was pleasently surprised to see two groups of girls. Some of these young girls even had City tops on.
When I was that age playing under 9's, it was very rare to see one girl playing football, never mind enough to split a training session into two seperate groups. I think this is another sign of football catching on within the local communities because of our (and Swansea's) current success. It was good to see and shows football is getting increasingly popular in the area.

Cardiff women's team won 17-0 in the week you might have seen some future players

I was genuinely shocked, even when I saw the first girl I thought the rest of the group would be boys, but they were all girls. It's good to see young girls taking an interest in football, hopefully in the future there will be more women into football instead of rugby.
