Why was the Roathie thread deleted?

The-cunt is all over the board again as per usual. Yes, you can ignore but when you get a tosser like RM telling people to put him on ignore, the he's just set his stall out again for more derailing of threads. A few other jacks also need to be culled again real soon as they drag the board down to their gutter levels.

Roathie come on here and said 'put me on ignore'. Fair enough I say. If grown men are going to get riled by something or someone online then just put them on ignore. I've put Barry Chuckles on ignore now and its amazing. I wish I had done it earlier.

I'd rather Roathie stay on one account where you can debate/argue with him as it then means in the future you have continuity whereas if he is on multiple accounts you don't have that. Him having multiple accounts damages the forum more and we know he won't give in and really should he have to?

If we make it a closed knit Cardiff City only forum then this argument isn't there but as 'all fans welcome' is in the top banner I think Roathie sort of has a point.

Shame really as that just leaves CCMB as the only dedicated Cardiff forum.

I think you'll find there's more posts about city on this Mb than mike's forum.

The simple fact is that there is not enough going on at just one club to keep a forum continuously ticking over. If you look at other forums that impose strict rules on only their own fans posting they are struggling to get posts or create any debate. This forum keeps going at a good pace because there are plenty of people here of different clubs who like to discuss loads of different things.

Unfortunately, forums that cater to only niche groups struggle and as they struggle more and more people move to seek an alternative forum that is more lively. If we were Liverpool or Man Utd with a massive pool of fans from all over the world then it'd tick over no problem just with club related stuff but our fan base is not that big and as a result of that other things need to be discussed to keep this place live.

I just said a forum needs posts on other topics and away fans. Sorry but if you look at other forums our club has had which does not allow away fans then you will see they are much slower paced. The two forums that do allow away fans and posts on other topics are the two forums that are the biggest and have succeeded. Take from that what you will.

Because everyone is moaning about Roathie being on here, Roathie had his own 2 topics, yet the posters moaning then started a total of 7 different topics on him alone, say they were reduced to 2.
