Name change almost a certainty

Wed Sep 18, 2013 1:43 pm

Was speaking to a guy at a function last night who is close to VT and he was telling me that the name change is now an odds-on certainty. As the opposition to the change quickly fades away VT is more determined than ever to use the "Dragons" name. Will decide at end of season whether to drop the "Cardiff" altogether and just be known as "The Dragons" depending on how much opposition to the rebrand dies away. You heard it here first!

Love how Cardiff fans laugh this of, as if it is completely unrealistic.

The Cardiff name means nothing in the far east. The word City means nothing there. I'm not saying it will happen, but the spineless reaction to what we've lost so far means that you can guarantee that VT is very much considering it.

What an incredibly ignorant fool you are, Jack. I'm genuinely embarrasses for you

you need to concentrate on things down your own neck of the woods, as they aren't as 'rosy' as you would have us believe ;)

PS: Your own name has changed in the past and there is none worse than a 'Town' pretending it's a 'City'

5 stages of a fan rolling over for foriegn dictator..

1)Laugh off rumour.
2)when rumour happens, scream blue murder asking why wasn't somthing done sooner.
3)declare that it's too late now as opposition should've been organised sooner(when you were laughing it off)
4)set another line in the sand that Tan daren't cross.
5)Prepare to laugh it off.

OP is 100% correct. I also heard this from the same sauce. It was an eventful afternoon drunk and stood next to the cupboard in the kitchen.
