I had a letter off them the other day informing me that i owe them £50 for over payment on child tax credit,in my wisdom i decided to ring them to find out what the over-payment was for, after being put on hold for 45 mins,i was told it was because there had been a slight increase in my wages,if they explained this in the letter i would'nt have bothered wasting my time ringing them,f@@king numpties

the call probably cost about £15 too - I've had to ring them numerous times over the past year and they have a nice little earner with the phone calls.

Well surly if would have been up to your employer to inform the Tax people of your rise ? as your Tax they take off you would have gone up .

I thought about the cost thing when I've had to ring them before but 0345 numbers cost the same to ring as 01 and 02 numbers.

Well surly if would have been up to your employer to inform the Tax people of your rise ? as your Tax they take off you would have gone up .

Cardiff tax office not doing queries soon, apparently you will only be able then to query things by phone. Think the woman there said they wanted everyone to complain as they may be loosing their jobs
