That would be our captain who has been absolutely superb for the past 6 years? And if shelvey plays lile he did second half and develops under the guidance of a true great we will haveha top player on our books. Good header for the 2nd goal but 2 huge slices of luck for his first. A fresh air shot then a block that could of gone anywhere which fell perfectly for him. Talk about 3rd time lucky.

Wont be long before Michu falls out with him either IMO. Shelvey shoots from ridiculous distances when Michu and others are in a better position.

Shelvey was excellent barring the two errors. Hes young its going to happen.

Michu always throws his arms about, his standards are incredibly high. We beat that petrolul team 5-1 and in his interview all he could focus on was his annoyance we conceded hes a natural born competitor, but dont mistake that for petulance or a short tempered attitude.
