O/T BT Broadband in the valleys

BT are bringing Fibre to my area in 2014, until then we are stuck with normal broadband speeds.

I used a speedtest program yesterday and realised I was only getting a download speed of 1.5mb, I should have been getting 'up to' 8mb, I asked on Facebook what other are getting and was advised that if a phoned BT and complained it would be sorted as apprantly BT turn peoples speed down who don't complain!!!!!!


I phoned them yesterday and complained but unfortunely I was cut off after 10 mins of the usual 'restart your hub nonsense'

I got up this morning and tested again and 'what do you know' speed is up to 7mb.

Moral of the story, phone and complain for increased speed.

and to all you people who dont live up in the sticks like me using fibre and getting 100mb download speeds, before to let us all know I just want to say

f**k OFF JOHNNY BIG BALLS!!!

Count yourself lucky getting 1.5mb, I can only get 400kb max.

I get 150kbps in Ton pentre and thats with sky 20mb. I signed up for bt broad band and the router come today so should be on tonight. They said i will get between 1 and 4mb/s, ill be happy as long as im getting more than i got now, pluss i get bt sports.

Broad band, broad band, I'm still waiting for running water, broadband my arse.
