Yea. I had a chat with my misses in the loft a few days ago. Didn't cost a thing.

Of course, the other option is the more downmarket "cellar chat" - an altogether less expensive way to go.

My favourite is the garden conversation especially summer time,cold beer,steak on the BBQ far better than a loft conversation Imo.

you get what you pay for like everything in life - as already stated size - windows- dormers - en-suite dressing rooms - built in wardrobes lighting - staircase - fire regulations every property and specifications are different

Standard of workmanship finishing is when you know you have had value ............. General market nowadays £16k -£60k

Get a set of plans and go for a few prices! Cheapest isn't always best! As malo said it depends on the type, size , spec etc. More than likely as with most, you may have to also upgrade all doors leading off stair and landings to fire doors. Depends also on existing roof construction (trussed rafters? Cut roof?) I've done plans for a number of mates over the years and costs vary dramatically! :thumbup:

Mallo have you done any jobs down the marina as I was told the other day that it put 3 x the price you paid on the price of the house down here.Is that right..?

if you can get planning off marina and then off council yes price of property rockets ! and answer is yes and plenty of glass balcony's which are second to none

next door has one and quiet a few around the area have done it, however I'm not sure what they 'officially' class it as
