Blue Kit

Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:03 pm

We were told September, I believe the quote said it would be out around the end of the month,

but we are already mid sept and no announcement at all?

A little annoying, but I suppose the yellow isnt out either yet.

Anyone planning on getting it?

They said end of the month, and it's only the 15th, so be patient :ayatollah:

I'm definitely getting the blue shirt

Just meant the announcement really.

Do you think there will only be a limited number available?

DW sports next to the ground will stock as many as they can sell if the club shop restricts them :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

I think the blue kit is superb this season, it's a very nice blue which I thought looked striking. I won't be buying it because of the badge which is a shame, because I love the kit.

They'll probably announce the moment they come out

I'm not sure, I'm happy as long as I can get my hands on one

I don't like the badge but it doesn't bother me that much

Just out of curiosity, are the shirt prices the same in DW or are they lower? If they're lower I'll buy from them

I think they may be a tad lower due to DW bulk buying power with the manufacturers throughout the Uk :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

Still not sure what to do.

I really want the blue kit, to try and drown out the red in the crowd, but I'm not sure I want to buy anything with that micky mouse badge on it.

If you don't like the badge then just wear one of your old blue shirts.

I always get the latest blue shirt as it's a tradition of mine.

It doesn't matter how nice the kit is to me, I won't buy anything with that badge on as that would feel like I've supported the rebrand. I won't even wear the 2011/2012 home blue kit with Malaysia as the sponsor. The last blue shirt I will wear is the 2010/2011 season with Sbobet as the sponsor when Bellamy first joined us.

Yes, and before you go where I think you're going, I can still support my local team whilst being 100% against the rebrand. I turn up to every game in blue and if I walk away, someone in red will take my place and I will simply not allow that to happen.

I certainly wasn't snapping at you, sorry if it came across that way. I just thought you was going to go down the route of "if you're a season ticket holder, you are endorsing the rebrand". Of course we can talk about stuff, that's what this forum is about.

I don't consider the current badge as part of the rebrand. To me, the only "rebrand" we've had is the change of colour, as we've changed our badge many times in the past, otherwise you could say that we've rebranded more than 10 times.

That's my view on it anyway, that's what doesn't stop me from buying the blue shirt.

I appreciate your view, but to me, although the background of our badge changed several times, the main emblem was always the Bluebird. The rebrand has changed the main emblem of our badge from a Bluebird to a dragon. The dragon is now our main emblem from the rebrand so in my opinion, our new badge is just as much as part of the rebrand as our change of colour. That's my view.
