CORNELIUS

Sun Sep 15, 2013 7:31 pm

any ideas how much longer he's going to be out for? Not heard much of his injury lately...

Disappointing set back for the lad as he also needs time to settle in... My worry is that he may struggle to make the first team for a while due to being that much behind the others with match fitness,....

My guess is when available he would just take Rudys place on the bench...

I also don't see where brayford is gonna come in as theo looked a tidy player!

Any thoughts?

Cheers Luke, just caught Carl's post up the top,,

I think it's gonna be difficult for cornelius to make an impact if I'm honest, prob be looking at Norwich away as a realistic target for him to get a game,

Tbh a bit of time for him to settle may not be a bad thing.

I think we got a glimpse of the future yesterday with how Cornelius will fit in. When Rudy came on we went to a diamond with the big fella playing up front with Frazier and later Maynard. The midfield went narrow with Whittingham at the point of the midfield formation with the full-backs overlapping to provide width.

I think this will be our home formation and we will play 4-2-3-1 away from home subject to circumstances e.g. if we are chasing the game or want to close the game down, the metaphoric plan b's. Obviously Rudy is back up and Cornelius will be the first choice target man when fit.

If this is what MM has in mind it is very clever and explains his summer transfer activity.

That's a good point tony! I agree with the above, I'm just a bit gutted for cornelius though, I bet he's chomping at the bit to prove his worth and get on the pitch!
Lets hope we can get him fit by end of October! Only 3 games next month and then November with a huge week at the end!
