I have a very large pharmaceutical firm as a customer in Hull and whilst the people are nice, it really is a shithole. I would say with some certainty that the poor marketing girl who 'designed' that poster has never been much outside Hull and by trying to polish a turd, is just making it even shittier.

The prices at the bar were certainly, Milanese

What a massive piece of licence they have used with that quote.

It rang a bell with me and when I looked again and saw that it was from The Guardian I remembered it was an article a couple of years ago which I took interest in as I was going up there for work.

The quote about is it Humberside or Milan was specific to the lobby of a hotel and not about the place as a whole.

Nearly false advertising I would say.

I went to the KC a couple of years back and went to the olds town in the centre..not bad at all really, quite a handsome city in places.

Also, Milan is a horrible place! I've never been more let down by any city in Europe!
