The same people who said its only a colour will just say its only a name.

They'll also claim that it's still the same club whilst watching Cardiff dragons play in red with dragons on their chest...

And its all a joke to him as he as a good old laugh.
What a f*cking tw*t.
I dont like you (as u well know) but wankers like this who come in to our game are taken the sole out of our clubs.
Slag me off if u will but be honest! Even the more pro tan true bluebird must feel sick to even look at this guy let alone what he is doing.
Total pis take.

If he was going to do it he would have done it by now .

He's a buisness man of course he has thought about it , it would be a huge part of his rebrand idea to have a strong brand name.
I kind of agree thinking about it , does the city part really matter? It wouldn't bother me if city was dropped and we were just called CARDIFF it sounds modern . But I wouldn't like Cardiff dragons or even Cardiff bluebirds .
I actually think he was going to do it , saw how much it means to fans to keep the name / identity and he compromised with himself and only changed the colour and badge.

Plus even if he tries he has to get it past the fa panel who will see the uproar from fans and say no , so really there is no point in even talking about it . Hull won't get there name change passed either , especially at the moment when the fa are pushing the campaign for getting fans more involved .

Totally agree with you Paul, was talking with a Jack about it the other day & I said I wouldn't want it to happen to any club, not even Swansea & that its just totally wrong.

Don't think it is a joke to tan. He is deadly serious. If the name goes so do I. Been going for 32 years. If we become Cardiff dragons that is my club destroyed.

Mate I genuinely feel sory for the real cardiff fans who put up with all the shit of thr 80-90 who stuck with your club.
Your club sold out to this f*cking clown with out the fans backing for a promise of top flight football.
But at what cost? How far is this going to go?wile top flight football is all well and good ! Is it worth whats going on at your club.
To many fans of cardiff struggled to come to terms with us in the prem and so backed the clown at any cost.
Football aint all about success but history and pride.

To be honest half of me us rolling about in stitches, but the other half is gutted for the fans who want to stay blue and stick to your roots.
Someone said its only a name change!! Realy.
Its allso been a colour change , nickname change (or will be) and losing the city.
You keep talking about being the welsh capital!yet set a shit example on how proud u are by being up for your capital club be changed to a premier Malaysia club.
Surprised the welsh fa aint stepped in to look in to it to be honest.

Says the boy who wanted a new club.

Life is too short to worry abouts what ifs. Concentrate on the what has happened.

I'd agree if there was no indications that it was imminent, but the fact that he constantly refuses to deny it and often mentions the idea must show you that it's very much possible Craig?

Anyone who's adamant that it isn't a possibility is burying their head in the sand.

Personally I dont think it will happen. As you said, there is still the possibility though.

I just dont see the point in worrying about it until (if at all) a name change announcement is made.

Lifes to short Baz, if we all worried about what might happen, nobody would ever leave the house.

Re: Exactly what Vincent Tan said yesterday

Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:59 am

That's fair enough mate. I've got nothing against you for that.

What I can't fathom are those who claim it's still the same, even if a name change occurs.

Dragons is the welsh emblem, hence we are the new (as we are new in prem after swansea) welsh dragons, as we are welsh and our national emblem. Thats my take on it anyway.

Under our name it says Cardiff city, under nickname it says bluebirds.

Of course it's a possibility , its also a possibility we could be relocated , its also a possibility date jones will make a return and be our next manager . Anything is possible its a buisness and he wants to give it the best chance he can to be financially succesful .

And he doesn't mention it , it's the media who keep bringing up the same questions and he keeps having to answer. This will be talked about again in a few months when some other interviewer asks him again and he gives the same answers.
At least he is being honest , he was slagged off for saying we would stay blue then changing , now he's being honest people still slag him off  he can't win

Craig, you think uve always got an answer for it, why did it not say that in the last 10 visits to Hull C? Why suddenly now?

Craig cant u see what is happening off the pitch?

Re: Exactly what Vincent Tan said yesterday

Sun Sep 15, 2013 9:04 am

Of course it a possibility that those other things could happen, but the name change is more likely, seeing as he keeps refusing to rule it out.

Of course the press want to ask about it, it's a controversial topic... All he needs to do is rule it out in one interview, but he won't.. Which makes it far more plausible than the other "possibilities" you mention...

I dont worry about things that havent happened yet, and will make no apologies for that.

I didnt say that was THE answer, I said it was my take on it. I may be wrong, I may be right but when i first saw it that is what I thought.

Good post. Had you lot not been in prem I would have been more vociferous in my campaign against the rebrand. If ball was in other court I wouldn't mind betting that swans fans would reluctantly take a rebrand if it meant catching us up (you may argue differently as this is hypothetical )

I've followed ccfc in dark days of Durban, been an exile for 24 years and had years of pisstake from man utd and Liverpool plastics.i love my club and my boys love it too. However a name change and that is it. I couldn't support another team like I do ccfc but I'd follow my local non-league team Salisbury
