A forum for all things Cardiff City

I would not be happy if I was Steve Bruce or Hull fans as I would of expected to have beaten Teams like Cardiff City and got the 3pts. Dropping 2pts at home against us, Bruce wont be happy tonight.
I thought we played good, attractive, passing football, but missed the final edge in front of goal, but if I was Malky a point away from home is always good, so not a bad day for Cardiff
I thought Whittinghams goal was an excellent finish
Now we need to beat Spurs at home as thats where most of our points will come from.
Hull City 1 Cardiff City 1
Opinions of todays game please

We kept possession really well, didn't do much with it first half.
Unlucky to a goal down just before half time.
Second half I managed to watch fully on the live stream and we dominated the majority of it but looked a bit sloppy and tired.
Deserved the goal and great finish.
KTC looked a gem on his debut. Not easy for him to make an impact in a new club and division but done well.
Credit to Lewis also who done well and kept us in it for some parts.
Also a strong point for us.

Odemwingie will give us that extra threat going from defence to attack as well especially if deployed on the right wing.
Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:10 pm
Cracking point and as you said Annis 2 points dropped for them.

So happy with that point, and great performances from Theophile and Lewis

Agreed, both excellent.
Only criticism of Theophile is that he'll get found out in the air, but you can't have everything.
Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:16 pm
Malky will be the happiest that's for sure.
We played some good football,a good point and brings us closer to the magic 40 points.

Due to work commitments my following of the game was limited to the retarded views of talk shite.
From what I could gather though is we controlled the tempo and possession before a defensive lapse cost us.
Took our goal well but lacked the clinical ability in the final third.
So a point away from home is a fair point.

May show my lack of knowledge here, but our team was "weakened" and we still got a point.
No Marshall. No Bellers.
Happy Days!
Sat Sep 14, 2013 4:27 pm
Thought they tried to do similar to west ham so we've definately improved,
Theophile was excellent but not much to cross to, hopefully cornelius can change that,
Actually thought cowie did well but medel was a bit off, probably not used to a British 'grind' game.
Out of the subs, thought noone should've come on to be able to attack down both wings and contain hull more,
But otherwise a great result

I'm very happy with a point away, as it was our blip of poor away performances that worried me last season. MM sorted that and if we get a point away from most of our games (and of course mostly win at home) then we will be fine.

Defensively I thought we looked shakey but that's down to a new full back and different keeper so was probably expected .
Midfield , kimbo was bullied and was deservedly taken off , medel and Gunnar are probably the best def mid partnership in the league at the moment

big call I know . Whittingham was exceptional and didnt put a foot wrong ,cowie ?? Although ran his ass off I can't for the life of me understand why noone or odemwingie didnt play that position tbh
Upfront we were anonymous , shows what Bellamy brings to the team with his positioning and work rate , I think Frazier had to drop more today when normally Bellars would cover that roll . We really missed him today .
A great point in all honesty and top half of the table after the 4 games we've had is fantastic , happy bluebird

Bellamy shouldn't have played the full 90 last Tuesday, that's why he didn't figure today and I absolutely agree that Bellamy still makes a massive, massive difference. I said massive twice as the difference he makes is that massive.

Medel and gunnarson better than:
Toure / Fernandinho
Wilshere / Flamini
Lucas / Gerrard
Lampard / Ramires
Sando / Pauliho
Get a f*cking grip

We didn't lose. A point away from home against relegation rivals is good. As long as we win against them at home etc and get bonus points against the top teams. Lewis looked good. Done okay without our first team GK. Theophile-Catherine was quality

At the moment ie on form
Toure down here was shite and fernandinho hasn't impressed me .
Gerrard is on his last legs as is lampard
Havnt seen enough of paulinho but Sandro is quality
Wiltshire isn't the same player after his injury and flamini is nothing special
Ramsey is the inform midfielder at the moment but isn't the best

shame you couldn't argue against it ,
Medel this year has been the best def midfielder so far easily , not saying he's the best player , just on form . If he was in a bigger team the pundits would be raving about him . Didnt miss a pass today , broke everything up , tackled solidly , allways showed himself to recieve the ball he's the total player and shines in our midfield . Gunnar looks so comfortable next to him its unreal , like I said the in form partnership in the league AT THE MOMENT .

Liverpool havent conceded a goal yet and won all their games, weve won one game in four, conceding five goals, yet weve got the best midfield partnership in the league on "form" apparently.
Get a grip you blithering one eyed idiot.

We are also unbeaten in 3 , won the midfield battle against arguably this years champions , kept a top 6 team from scoring as a newly promoted side . Liverpool are used to the prem and as such teams play differently against them . Plus they played stoke and villa not exactly the quality of teams we have come up against apart from man utd .
Nothing wrong with bigging up players when they are playing very well .

Won the midfield battles? Not against West Ham we didnt a very poor 2nd best. Against City and Everton we just parked 10 men on the edge of our box and rode our luck.
Yes Medel looks a great signing and we are doing well for a team whos goal is to finish 17th but when you come out with shit like they are the best midfield partnership in the premiership jesus christ have a word with yourself.

A point away after the international break, most teams would snap yr hand off!
Players been globe trotting all wk, with only 24hrs for us to prepare for today's game.
Cracking point in my eyes.
Sat Sep 14, 2013 6:00 pm
Very happy with a point, any away points picked up will be a great bonus.
A win would have been nice obviously but it's just as important we didn't lose as come nearer the end of the season it's the likes of Hull that will be our rivals.
Sat Sep 14, 2013 6:19 pm
I think that everyone agrees that it was great to come away with a point especially as we were away from home but i think we shall have to play a lot better defensively if we are going to stay in the Premier League.

Although I don't agree with the guy, Wilshere is not a defensive midfielder and Ramiers and Lampard are a horrible pairing. Do you even watch football?
Sat Sep 14, 2013 6:41 pm
Plus Yaya and Fernandinho is such an imbalanced partnership. Both have looked out of their depth thus far.
