Credit where it's due, nothing he could do about the goal but a solid performance.
A lot of fans minds at ease now that we got a good cover.

Very pleased for him, hes had quite a lot of critics among our fans. Nothing he could have done against the goal we conceded.

There are critics around, I am one of them. As we had Marshall and Heaton once who were both as good as eachother but Marshall just about edged it but was pushed for his spot.
Lewis needs to take his chances while they come.

That one punch he had from the left wing cross he had no right to get to!
Kicking silid too ( better than Marshall's?)

Solid performance today, but consistency is what he needs now if he gets the chance to play more

Good point Onions, consistency is key.

All he needs to do is do what Marshall does, pester the defenders telling them what to do, he's a good keeper, the mistakes he's made for us have come when playing in the Cup with youthful/fringe defences. I reckon he'll play over Marshall next Sunday

Dando, I agree with most things you say, but not this. There's no way Heaton was/is Marshall's standard. Heaton isn't a premier league level GK. Marshall is.
I am much happier having Lewis instead of Heaton/Alexander (as some were calling for). Lewis's punches were essential today. Heaton would not have made the same choices for me - he always used to stay on his line way too much, which encouraged our defenders to sit too deep.
My opinion anyway.

I hope all those that slagged him off before the game are manning up and admitting they were wrong now...
Forgot, keyboard warriors rule...
Thought he had a good game, couple of excellent saves.

My initial feeling when watching was he was at fault for the goal, reserving proper judgement till I see a replay though

Think it might have been Caulkers? Need to see it again as well.
In fairness it's one of those where Hull have us against the wall, we've just cleared and haven't charged back out of the box and our defenders are still too deep. Huddlestone's re-delivers very quickly and perfectly into the danger area. I think the delivery made our defenders look stupid - it was a very awkward one to defend. Had Caulker gone for it he could have easily scored an OG.
At that time, Hull didn't deserve the lead I don't think. We bossed the first half once the opening ten were out of the way.

I was nervous before the game but thought he did very well.
Hopefully Marshall is back soon, but I'm not as concerned as I was.

Still havent seen it again but I thought it bounced in the six yard box, which would make it the keepers fault

I think that's a bit harsh. Nobody blocked the cross and both centre halves didn't react to the cross allowing their player to get on the end of it.

Having seen it again I dont blame the centre backs. There should have been someone, whoever wason the left hand side, should have been there to cut the cross out. They had pushed out too far if anything and left an enormus gap.
Still think the keeper can make that his but I suppose it wasnt really his fault

how many on here had written him off, looking to bring in a loan keeper.....F.F.S.

Curtis Davies scored from inside the 6 yard box so I think it was partially Lewis' fault, although as already said, the cross could have been stopped and cut out before it bounced. As soon as the ball was allowed to bounce and Lewis was glued to his line, I knew they were going to score. It was poor defending all round really and a very poor goal to concede. Apart from the goal, I thought Lewis had a good game, although I don't think we would have conceded that goal with Marshall playing.

I think he did really well yesterday and don't agree with the goal being his fault. On a positive note, he did not stay on his line throughout the game like marshall does, he helped turner and caulker out a few times with some great clearances. I can see him getting a good few games this year, im encouraged.
