Brilliant to have a right full back that's up to scratch.

Very attacking and was solid. Positive and give Connolly some competition.

After that performance Connolly is no competition. I would like to see Brayford maybe in the Carling Cup game have a feeling he is going to be a lot better than Connolly too :ayatollah:

Graham should have won it for them with his header in extra time. Theopole was sleeping and let him steal in. Did well overall but he has to keep focused at all times

Let's not forget that Connolly had 2 very good games against Man City and Everton before this.

As a right-back last season, KTC made two assists... but also kept only 2 clean sheets. The mistakes he made in the Hull game would suggest why.

And like Connolly, he is more of a centre-back by trade (even though he played most of his games last season as a full-back), so we're back to the same issue of playing a centre-back out of position!

I thought it was harsh leaving Connolly out of the squad altogether and there's no reason to suggest, based on his last 2 performances, he would have been any worse than KTC.

I thought Theo gave us something in the final third we have been lacking, Kev & Connolly both get forward from full back but their final delivery is poor. Theo also looked capable of going past opponents too!
At a risk of being slated I would suggest Connolly might have been a better option on the bench than Hudson?

Think he's going to be a special player for us, we are building a great team and my trust in Malky :malky: grows daily.

I honestly don't understand this new obsession with stats in football. Just because KTC only had 2 assists last season doesn't mean shit. He may have created a thousand chances but had shit strikers in his team who missed them all. And what do you mean he only kept one clean sheet. Last time I looked this was down to 11 players not just one!

If you watch saturdays game it would be impossible to come away thinking that connolly is a more natural full back that theophile. He gave us width, got forward at every opportunity and his stats should already read 'one assist for cardiff' cos gunnarsson should have scored.

Judging by saturday, the lad looks a superb acquisition for 2 million

How about this for a stat, 7 out of the last 8 games where KTC was not playing RENNES lost. They lost less when KTC was playing and had a better win percententage with him int he team, what you think about that stat shakermaker? and if you watched the west ham game you'd know connolly got skinned regaulry, and against man city & everton he was the only player that looked dodgy, never pushes forward, not his fault mind as he is a centre back not right back.
