When i first seen Velikonja play against Newcastle in the friendly game, i thought he was awesome..
but was never to be seen again!

Joe mason would do well for you, how much I wouldn't want him to leave I'd like to see him go out on loan and come back a proven player next seaason he has more than the ability to do so

Am I mising the link here as why would you offload a player who cost so much. Either you was mugged buying him then that's down to your recruitment staff or he just cant work under the current management as they aren't exploiting his strengths so his confidence is shocked to pieces.

Only you being fans can give the true insights on your players.

I thought we paid around 1.2 million for him but it says 1.7 on this site. Could turn out to be a real good player for someone though given a chance to play regular football. As was mentioned in this thread I saw the game against Newcastle and he looked a real livewire that day.

He's bee on rubbish for us so far , looks like he has talent to me, but no fight, if he fi he could make it as a a premier League player, but unfortunately for him and us he won't make it here

He may have all the ability in the world, but after watching him in the development final against Charlton, I was disgusted with his attitude and said on this board that night, that he was pound for pound the biggest waste of money in our clubs history.

Has scored a lot of goals in the development side and gave Newcastle's first choice defence a really tough game at the start of last season. Since then he has barely featured for the first team and when he has it has not been for the full 90 minutes.

Whatever Malky's reasons may be for not using him, he needs to go out on loan to get games and prove himself.

Personally, I still think he has plenty to offer and will score as he seems to have an eye for goal, but it doesn't appear that it will be with us.

Some players flourish and under different circumstances, ie, mangers, surroundings, locations. Take our Iraqi youngster who we've let on loan, Kasim, 18 year old and have now released because we thought he wasn't good enough, playes for swindon and Reading bid £250,000 for him in the summer and will be back in January with a monster bid.

Sometimes it doesn't work out for the player.
