Going on from the subject of new badge

In 3 weeks time on Carls coaches, we will have a new large pin badge saying ' Cardiff City ' and then underneath the Bluebird " We're Cardiff City We Will Always be BLUE "

Surely we're still Cardiff, why do you keep saying were Cardiff?
