Dear Member,
The FSF are reaching out to our affiliate and associate members in order to take the first steps in an ambitious project to measure the experience of the away fan. We are aiming to assemble the thoughts and experiences of fans from all divisions, from the Premier League to the Conference North and South, throughout the season. We hope to be able to use the data from this extensive study to discuss with clubs and the authorities what keeps fans committed to travelling and to the sacrifices they make, what they look for as a travelling fan, what they hope to see, what they don’t enjoy and why they feel valued.
We started the project on a smaller scale last year, and some of the early results were interesting -
http://www.fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/ ... ct-2013-14 The ultimate aim is to improve the away fans' experience and encourage more fans to travel to watch their team. The FSF want to highlight to clubs and the authorities what they get right and where they can improve, and to establish a benchmark for clubs to aspire to when it comes to welcoming away fans.
What can you do?
As the registered contact for your supporters' organisation we would like you to find up to ten regular away fans to commit to completing this survey throughout the season. It should take no more than five minutes to complete after each away game, and it's even formatted for easy completion on smartphones while in the car or on the coach away from the ground. It could have a huge impact to the away fans' experience in the long term. Perhaps you can get more than ten and if so, great, the more the better.
The full link for the survey is

Please help the FSF to make this project a success and be part of something that we hope will improve the away fans' experience for generations to come.
