LAWRO & HULL TIGER FANS ~ WHAT ARE THEY SAYING??

Thu Sep 12, 2013 11:21 pm

Mark Lawrenson's predictions

If you had said in January that this would be a Premier League fixture, I'm sure both sides would have been delighted. Hull and Cardiff have strengthened over the summer and will at least be competitive now.

Hull were excellent at Manchester City. They played some great football and had chances at crucial times. If they had scored when they had the chance they could easily have won, but they ended up losing 2-0. It's always difficult to play after a defeat like that, when you've played well, but they've had a fortnight to stew on it and will be hoping to get three points on the board.
Cardiff have spent some decent money and I rate manager Malky Mackay. He doesn't get carried away when they lose and he didn't make too much of beating Manchester City either, which is important.
These are two similar sides. They know they are in for a slog and know that their home form will be massive.
Steve Bruce will have earmarked this as a home win but Cardiff have got plenty about them. They are confident, they've made a good start and they will be tough to beat.

Prediction: 1-1

I am going for 2-1 Hull. What do you guys think against Cardiff? I think they are sh!t at away!

Once I heard Caulker and Marshall were out, my confidence in getting a win improved significantly.
Games like this are usually too close to call imo.

by Erik, Yesterday, 11:48 AM
I'm glad those two are injured. I just hope we don't get a surprise on matchday and find they've both made a miraculous revocery

by The Bull**** Man, Yesterday, 12:50 PM
The only 2 Cardiff players I care about are Gary Medel and Fraizer Campbell. I'd be happy if they were out, couldn't care less about Caulker and Marshall.

by The FRENCH TICKLER, Yesterday, 02:52 PM
Dont rate Cardiff at all. There best player by far is still Craig Bellamy. We have improved no end from last season. I expect Chester and Davies to keep FC under wraps.
Hull City to win. Score dont matter.

by tigercity, Yesterday, 05:46 PM
1-1
Cardiff got a draw last time when it didn't matter to them, yes we "should" have won but we didn't. Aluko needs to find a goal to set him off & we need Gedo ASAP

by ellewoods, Yesterday, 07:18 PM
2-1 us and I see their goal as coming against the run of play. With how we have played so far this season I do not think that Cardiff is much of a match for us.

by guitartrax, Yesterday, 08:50 PM
This is going to be a tough game as both teams will fancy getting something out the game I think we will nick it 1 - 0

by Polo, Yesterday, 10:08 PM   :?
1-3 Cardiff. You lot are underestimating us.

by The Bull**** Man, Yesterday, 09:43 AM
Brady is better than Whittingham. Almost equal ability with their feet, Brady is far faster, stronger and full of tricks. And he looks well hard. Whittingham's a pussy.

by Tommytiger, Yesterday, 10:52 AM
I'd like to think we'll score a goal, but we've only managed one in 3 games and it wasn't from open play; that said, the lads will be desperate to open their accounts so they'll work hard for it. Fraizer Campbell will blatently start and score for them, so I'll go for 2-1 to us, with Graham and Brady scoring.

rodmac1, 12 Sep 2013 18:28
Their fans on their forum seem generally confident of an easy win and due to our failure to be able to score goals I think we will get it together and win 3-1

This guy is in for a massive shock. :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

Bellamy has arguably been one of our worst performers so far this year as he is going through a stage where he needs to adapt his game. He even would admit that and that's why he's brought up the retirement stuff again.

I don't think it's going to be as easy as some of them think it will be...

This is going to be tough. Us and Hull
Have had 2 weeks off and momentum can be
Gained and lost in this period. I think Hull
Have improved greatly, but so have we.

Draw would be good but an away win priceless.

Is Caulker out then?

Bloody hell this lot are in for a shock! :ayatollah:

They do realise we turned over Man City who just beat them 2-0 yeah?!

I just dont get these people, they clearly dont know much about football.

It will be a tough game and could go either way i think if we turn up an play we will win as overall IMO our team has the edge and most neutrals will agree. However it would not surprise me if Hull won or it was draw it will be a tight game with both sides thinking they can win it.

If Hull fans really think our best player is Bellamy they are really deluded.

So u think we may win but wouldn't be surprised if it was a draw or hull win. That's hedging ur bets.

A lot of these forum posters post positive stuff about their own team because it makes them feel good. They never look at the whole picture.

Hull are excited because they put up a good show against Man City. What they don't take into account was Man City were under a lot of pressure and lacking confidence after what we did to them. Where they came to us full of confidence after stuffing Newcastle 4-0 they left the CCS rather like a naughty boy at school, really embarrassed. So the ideal time to play Man City was when Hull played them and look what happened the Tigers left with nothing.

I'm going for a draw and I will be happy with that. I do find it funny how confident they are and they quite clearly don't know much about our transfer dealings over the summer.

The guy that said he's not worried about Caulker is laughable because from my point of view having caulker in our defence has made our back four look immense especially with the help of Medel sitting in front of them. No mention of Kim-bo in any of thoughs statements who again has been absolutely superb so far this season.

Really looking forward for tomorrow now :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky:
