Why I chose Cardiff - Odemwingie

Thu Sep 12, 2013 5:23 pm

Can't find a transcript of the interview, but he was quote don BBC Wales saying the main influences were Malky Mackay and how impressed PO was with him and what his father in law , who was at the Man City game as an away fan said about the atmosphere.

Was positive stuff. :malky:

Didn't need to. No other club matched the asking price so he was not able to make comparisons.

Irrelevant as we were all told in the summer we had no chance of competing in the transfer market with you

lets be honest, if your looking at moving to cardiff or swansea, regardless of the money, your going to pick cardiff. its the capital, the big city life. the club is going places, better all round facilities stadia ect, bigger fan base.

I hope he enjoys his time here then. He is one of the rare players that MM has bought that is over 30.

Everyone's happy then.

We get a winger who scores 30 goals in 67 starts at this level. You avoid getting a player who tries to maximise his income. :ayatollah:

5 in 26 last season and hasn't scored since November last year.

Good luck with that :thumbright:

What are you "oh dearing" about?

PO had a decision to make. He had two options join Cardiff or stay at WBA. He has told us why he chose to come.

All other clubs reportedly after PO did not match WBA's acceptable price and fell away therefore wages were not an overriding consideration.

Only half of those appearances were as a starter, and even then his strike rate is excellent, 1282 minutes on the pitch in total last season Goal every 240 minutes. As a winger that's superb. 5 goals 3 assists.

He had no other option but join us. If he stayed at WBA then he wouldn't play.

He's hardly played since then - and not for football reasons either.

He''ll be nice and rested and hungry to play.

He's obviously in good enough condition to have had Laudrup want him.

As i said, I'm happy, you lot are happy, good deal all round

With Bellamy's legs on the way out on one side and a 32 year old who has barely kicked a ball in 9 months on the other side, I wish you all the luck in the world.

None of it good though obviously :laughing6:
