Turkey.

Wed Sep 11, 2013 8:36 pm

Pretty hammered at the moment as was up before the headmaster yesterday and still getting over my spanking, wasn't the caine but the ruler was just as harsh.

Backpacked threw Turkey last year from Istanbul to the med. I have posted my back packing adventures before and SBF1 has read them and can say they are great reading.

I'll post the Turkey one tomorrow and have a read and I'll post my last time in Thailand the other year when I was looking at 30 years in prison for drugs. I managed to escape from the police but f**k me did I shit it.

I'm here because I like the forum and think you're an ok bunch.

I'll be back tomorrow :ayatollah:

Turkey is not in Europe. Their clubs should be playing in Asia. Their fans are cowards. Respect to the Leeds lads who were murdered out there. Some things cross club rivalries.

My trip isn't about football but culture and drugs yet again. I'm a backpacker and like to go of the beaten path and avoid the tourist trail which results in me engaging with unsavory characters and find myself in f*cking awkward situations but mange to come out unscathed but you can only have so much luck before you come a proper.

Basically Istanbul considers itself in Europe but the rest of Turkey feels it belongs to Asia.

Istanbul used to be Constantinople, until the Turks invaded. It might just scrape into Europe, but the rest of Turkey is in Asia. The letter K in the name of the Greek club AEK Athens refers to Konstantinopolis.

My geography was ok, but my history was better! Hellas, Hellas, Hellas!

I haven't been to Istanbul, but from what I hear is one half of the city is like europe and the other half like Asia.

It is. You are welcome in some parts and some then they want your goolies. Just like down south in Thailand, Buddhists and Muslims. Muslims wanted to do away with me. Have pulled the Turkey one out from my collection and a good part is missing so shall sit down and fill it in and post it.

Maybe the posters on here would like to read how I got arrested in Bangkok by the police and how I escaped and made my way down to Singapore and then got a direct flight home Steve. You only hear on the news about people getting arrested and sentenced to death or life, never hear about the one that got away :ayatollah:

Istanbul and Marmaris absolute crap. Full of money grabbing touchy nut jobs trying take you in a make shift tent/hut to buy knock off Ed Hardy gear. Then when you say no its fake they get all angry and start ranting some voodoo stuff trying to curse you for not buying their knock off stuff.
