I was into Punk Music but didn't glue my hair into a Mohican or stick a safety pin through my nose  I can remember loads of trouble at gigs Newport vs Cardiff, Cardiff/Newport vs Bristol, Everyone vs Swansea etc.

Brilliant days and I was lucky to be around then and in my prime :? ;)

Born in 1964 so my first foray into music was punk.....so anti authority which equalled anti parents in my eyes (i love em now BTW) and first live concert was the Stranglers in the Top Rank in Cardiff.......what a gig. Swiftly followed by my first Stiff Little Fingers concert and the song below "At The Edge" epitomised my adolecsent feelings at that moment in time.

When punk faded I became a Rude Boy........Specials, Madness et al. Dressed myself in all the two tone garb including a Harrington Jacket! A taste of this era in the link below.

Then I supported Cardiff City Football Club........the rest is history.

Only Special record I liked was ghost town when we had a family holiday at camber sands in Hastings in my pre teen. Madness I hate because people couldn't dance with out kicking ten bails of shit without their 20 dock martins and mob handed and pick on individuals.

f*cking cunts.

I was a punk rocker in the 70's , and I'm still one now, though I don't wear any of the gear anymore, just normally a band t-shirt and narrow jeans nowadays...1st punk gig was Stranglers at Top Rank in April 77, 1st record bought 'new rose' by the Damned, late '76...still go to loads of punk gigs, newer bands and older ones, last one was the Blackpool Punk 4 dayer about a month ago, the next one is Peter and The Test Tube Babies in Porth, Sept 20th, can't wait...

Born in North Cornelly in 1969
A skinhead. It was the only fashion really for many young teenagers like myself who believed at that time that there were no prospects for young people growing up.
I listen to the music still today on the odd occasion and was a big fan of The Oppressed and actually still am due to their beliefs and morals apart from their great music.
I'm a big fan of Ska music these days and love that Reggae beat the background of the edgy punky type lyrics.
The Natural transition for most people from the Skinhead/Punk scene was to become a Casual / Dresser so I embraced this scene due to the terrace fashion in The Grange end and the away games. I immediately felt a sense of belonging.
I'm Still a Skinhead at heart and often don the old Clobber when i am fortunate to see gigs by the like of The Oppressed, The Evil Turkeys and relatively new on the scene Greazy Ratz. (Keeping it alive)
Oi ! Oi !.

There was a load of us 12 year olds hanging out at Littlewoods cafe back then, we used to own the streets back in 82/83...Annis and his football trendies wouldnt mess with us.....

I think youth culture still exists - just in a different way. You tend to have the 'emo' crowds, the goths, the metalheads and the 'urban' types (Ali G wannabees) these days.
