WELL DONE

Sun Sep 08, 2013 4:51 pm

To Coventry.

Beat Colchester today at Sixfields 2-0, they are now on positive points for the first time this season and are off the bottom of the table.

They have taken 11 points from a possible 18 and had they started the season like everyone else on 0 points then they would be sixth but instead are 23rd.

I think Coventry can still turn it around, alot of points to play for and they can certainly finish in the top 2 if they can keep up their form over the season and other teams drop points.

Carl, I know quite a lot of Coventry fans and yes there is a lot of uncertainty about their ground/future etc, but they say their fans have come together and become stronger than they ever and they are very proud. Well Done to them and now I hope they keep climbing and come back stronger than ever. Already last season and this season thy take more away fans now and than they had done for 10 years or more

they are doing well.good luck to them.30yr ago a sometimes lively rivalry with blues but over the yrs that has calmed down.got a lot of time for the lads and lasses of cov who are behind the team (even watching from the hill).the rents the company were charging a league 1 were daft.might have been a decent ground to play in but the rioch was still hosting league 1 football.shame they couldnt use the rugby ground.i honestly thought they,d end up at blues this season.loved it when they steamed the pitch at crawley was it?that steward was left for dead  steven pressley is playing a blinder.saw him play for hearts a few times.low budget tony adams :laughing6: .knows the game.the back four will be drilled that,s for sure.cov for the play offs?im rooting for em.

Jeff, on their day, they can pull a crowd
In the micky mouse cup v Port Vales last year, I think 30,000 turned at cheap prices.

Fair play to them, 30,000 at even cheap prices is still good going, especially given the crap they have had to put with the past few years.

Glad Coventry are doing well. Glad they have fucked the Ricoh Arena off. Who ever owns it only thinks of the profit and not the club or fans. Glad the ground will become an isaw and one f*cking useless venue and will be an white elephant.

Great to see, got a good few players who can play Championship in there team.

Re: WELL DONE

It is good to see them over coming the barrier of 11 points.

However, as some clubs decline others rise up. The truth is we are probably one of the clubs who have emerge and filled the gaps left by teams like Coventry,(Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves) are examples of other teams who have fallen away.

The trick is to stay up in the Premier League for as long as we can and secure a future.

I read today that Portsmouth Supporters Trust (who own Portsmouth FC) are paying £108,000 per month to former players who are still owned millions from contracts given out whilst they were a Premiership team.

As it is a football related debt it wasn't cancelled by Pompey going into administration and has to be paid in full if they want to remain in the Football League pyramid.

Cheers Tony, I was wondering why the supporters were paying this money as I was under the impression that all the debts were wiped out, now I understand why.
