One tip is that you could save a good amount if you didn't mind flying on christmas day and another one is to go outside of Europe for the better weather.

Cheers,was thinking of some where in the canaries,better chance of sunshine,is it normal times over there you know,or do certain bars and restaraunts shut down?

most of the big clubs are shut but loads of bars and restaurants stay open and there is a nicer atmosphere than in the summer months . also slightly cheaper for food and drink i found as there is not so many people and they have to compete more for trade .

Been to Sicliy a couple of times during the same period because we love Italy but am also that Cyprus is agood shout too. I think it all depends on what you are looking for. If its British chavs aboard then I suppose Spain (which includes the Canaries by the way) is the place for you.
