Burns was shit and deserved to lose that fight. Dislocated jaw or not that tough little Mexican beat him fair and square.

Boxing has been a shit sport for years now.
I only like watching Amuture boxing these days.

Burns had surgery this morning on a broken jaw, had a titanium plate fitted and Hearn said on SSN this morning he might not be able to box again.

Huge respect to burns carrying on with his jaw,but he didn't deserve the draw for that performance

I didn't agree with the decision but in all fairness, what a gutsy little bugger for carrying on.
He looked in pain when he was speaking after the fight

Aye fair play,to carry on takes some doing and goes along way to explaining his crap display
Sun Sep 08, 2013 11:17 am
whoever thought that should be shot in the face

amature is just as corrupt! ive seen boys crushed by clear shit decisions at many shows, the whole sport in from the bottom up has been corrupt for years and its a damn shame because this is why people will go to mma, ufc etc

So true, my boy boxed for 3 years & in his last fight was beaten on a split decision despite putting the opponent down twice & hardly have a punch landed on him, even their trainer came over & said there was only one winner but i guess if you're fighting on someone else's patch to a packed hostile crowd the decision is always more likely to go against you, nature of the beast i suppose.

All sport is corrupt in my opinion including football because theres too much money involved.

About as corrupt as Football.

boxing has been corrupt for years, i mean if we're talking about "score card" decisions, then everyone knows, home patch means winner 90% of the time. just look at macklin - martinez out in argentina. but the corruption in boxing is going on behind the scenes much much more.

Eh? Martinez stopped Macklin didnt go to the cards and it was in New York. His corner pulled him out actually so it was a TKO.

he must of meant martin murray
Mon Sep 09, 2013 4:06 pm
sorry lads, did mean murray, it was late and a few drinks.....but the point is there, home turf means victory for most fighters, but then some times you see a fight, and then get a shock result.
holyfield fought valuev out in switzerland and anyone who seen it, would say hands down holyfield won that night, not valuev

There was always the pre-conception that boxing was fixed, below title belt level.Fighters throwing fights so that their opponents got a chance at a world tilte shot was said to be common.I honestly believe it's corrupt right throughout now and even world title fights. It'll never stop me watching it though.
